yea, but we already know that allen. Its all about our guards. Hopefully our scrappy defense will make you guys shoot less than 35% and commit 17 turnoverslike SH did against you guys.

I have no idea what Syracuse's longest win streak at the Carrier Dome is. But it seems like we always lose a handful of games at home every single year. How ND wins 45 straight at home and we can't piece together a little 10 game streak at TCD is beyond me.

Dog, I'm so sick of hearing the most uncreative chant ever... "LET'S GO ORANGE!". I'm sick of it cuz it's our ONLYchant.

I hate Duke but I love the enthusiasm of those stupid Cameron Crazies. Jumping up and down at the same time...

Or even this:

I mean, when you go to Duke, you know you're really playing against 6 men. Sometimes more depending on the refs...

There's another team I can't think of right now... When the opposition is on the line, they go"whoooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" "whoooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". Or somethinglike that.

Other teams home arena get death quiet when the home team is shooting free throws. Then yell "WOO" if they hit it. (Or in Duke's case,"BLUE!")

I mean, every damn team got some sort of chant or taunt that they are known for. And all we got is "Let's Go Orange!". Damn shame.

How many times have you seen his lefty this year?

I think Jonny is probably the best pg (all-around talent-wise) we've ever had. But it's been a minute since Jimmy has had GREAT talent at that spot sohe seems a little confused as to how to best use Flynn's talents. He's not the best in the country, but I think he's the best in the BE. Iwouldn't argue too hard if someone said Fields is better though.

To me, Cuse would be so much better if they ran the offense through Arinze and Flynn. How Arinze leads the nation in fg% and only takes 8 shots a game ispuzzling.

I thought you just got a job .. o_0
I did. Legitimate job.

im playin jdot

...no more tip in dunks for 3 point plays? Ok?

but yeah...we turn it over > 15 times and don't shoot well, we lose. That's always the story.

- No room to talk bad about 'Cuse, but not surprised they lost. Variant Amare is doing ok, huh?

- DeJuan Blair would get my vote for BE POY.

- Michigan State really put on the burners 2nd half?

The thing that I don't get about the student section is that they teach all incoming students what to say during games (at least when I was afreshman) at orientation at the Carrier Dome. The thing that makes it hard is that we are restricted as to what we can do/say. Its hard to explain but freshmanyear in the section was good but then it declined dramatically over the past couple of years (including this one). There is no school spirit at 'Cuse. Dukehas school spirit but there isn't much to do there anyway so that's why they are always crazy. Their crowd is too close for comfort. I'm surprisedno player has gotten into it with a fan. Plus like Malta said, none of the cool people go to the games, only the nerds. It's the opposite at 'Cuse. TheBMOCs, frats and sororities all go to the games. They are either drunk, high or both (Kappa coke !%@%@*). Take today for example, it was just awful. An earlygame after a Saturday night in which most people go out (even though it was 6 degrees) is destined for failure. My man had tickets but was too hungover tocome.

There are a few doofuses and regular guys like me here and there but for the most part everyone is pretty much chill and watching the game instead of jumpingaround and intimidating the opponent. Plus you can't compare Cameron Indoor to the Carrier Dome. The Carrier Dome is a relatively new arena compared toCameron. Hopefully, the student section gets their act together within the next couple of years. If you compared it today to that of the 80s (when Syracuse wasa very rowdy campus) there is no comparison at all. Like you said earlier, there is NO tradition for the section to build upon. There's a group called"Otto's Army" but these would be the nerds that Kerlew was referring to.

Interesting that ND really doesn't have much of one tho, or at least not near the court...surprising that winning streak was so long...idk what gives....it's dark in that gym, but that's it
It's incredibly hot in there. Erin Andrews kept complaining about it last night.

Student sections and a true home court really can make for a nice advantage.

Damn, I didn't realize things at 'Cuse was this bad (or at least as bad as you guys are making it out to be). I'll try and catch more of their homegames but the crowd doesn't seem that dead to me.

Yo allen, I was thinking the same thing! Like... how the **%% did ND pull that off with no real home crowd advantage??

Props regardless though.

And Rell, thanks for posting that. It's always great to get 1st hand info right from on-campus.

Yeah true... It's not HORRIBLE. But man, it's not what you'd think an A program like Syracuse would have.

Yea really. Were all about that $$$$$$$$$$$$$

We put the students behind the hoop. No way in hell they actaully give them the good seats like the Cameron Crazies get.
Tough for the to really do much.

And does Pitt EVER come out flat? There always ready to play.

Stop it. The player of the year is from the BE but it ain't Blair.

'Gody. His team would be one of the two or three worst in the BE if it wasn't for him.

maybe my choice is biased, but T-Will has to be one of the leading candidates. He does EVERYTHING.

Terrence Williams has been balling out of his mind lately. Dude is definitely playing for that 1st round money

Everybody is sleeping on ol' boy Chris Wright. That fool can jump out the ##%$*%* building. He should definitely be a 1st rounder...

The Georgetown point guard?

Or you mean Williams?

Athleticism is nuts. Still developing that outside game but with his athleticism and explosiveness alone he can be a first rounder IMO. Has a chance to improvehis stock with the upcoming matchup with Derrick Brown on the 14th, and UD should be a tourney team as long as they keep winning so he should be able to comeout and try to shine on a national level.

random question...if all 3 of these guys competed in that annual ncaa 3-pt contest at the end of each season, who wins: stephen curry, kyle macalarney, orjodie meeks?

I'd have to roll with Macalarney. Steph's mechanics are sick and all, but something just makes me feel like he'd be terrible in a contest likethat.

It's between Kyle & Steph.

Can't really say though.

I think Kyle might be more consistent under those circumstances while Steph might have a higher tendency to be "off" in that type of setting.

Other news:
HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Houston junior guard Aubrey Coleman apologized Sunday for stepping on the face of Arizona forward Chase Budinger.

Coleman was ejected from Saturday's loss to the Wildcats when he nearly caused a full-blown fight by stepping on Budinger after being called for charging.

The Cougars' second-leading scorer dribbled down the left baseline and bulled over Budinger, then stepped on the fallen player's head as he walked by. An enraged Budinger got up and had to be restrained.

Coleman was assessed a flagrant foul and escorted to the locker room.

"I want to apologize to Chase Budinger for what happened Saturday night. I never meant to step on him," Coleman said in a statement. "I have never been in an incident like this before and I have nothing but respect for him as a great player.

"I love the game too much to do something like that intentionally. I want to say I am sorry from the bottom of my heart. I know that God knows what is in my heart, but I am hopeful that Chase will understand and forgive."

Houston coach Tom Penders said his staff would review the incident with director of athletics Dave Maggard and department administrators. Penders doesn't think it was intentional, though.

"Aubrey is one of the finest kids, both on the floor and off the floor, that I have had the privilege to coach," Penders said. "I know that he regrets the situation, but he is an exemplary student-athlete in all ways, shapes and forms."

Coleman is averaging 18.1 points and 7.8 rebounds in 17 games this season.
