Texas ranked worst state for quality of life

Houston is humid so that’s not the dry heat, sweat as soon as you get outside…Florida in the summer the hottest and most uncomfortable I’ve ever felt tho, good thing they got beaches

Vegas/Phoenix is dry heat where you gotta avoid the sun at all cost but little humidity

The perfect warm/summer weather to me is San Diego …Or Denver/Seattle if you like things a lil cooler but never chilly
I didn't have that sticky/wet air feeling when I went. Either way, that **** was unlivable. It was worse than anytime I've been to Vegas, and I've been going to Vegas yearly since a young kid.

Climate change has us pushing triple digits right now.

Utah is ***, Mormons run that state. SLC is mid, park city is cool if you’re a billionaire. The scenery is really cool though.

You can get the outdoors without all the theocracy other places.

No shade to your aunt and uncle.

I wouldn’t want to live in Texas either though.

I'm looking at 3 states to get out of here one day: Oregon, Washington or Colorado.

Western Colorado might be the most beautiful place in the country. It's up there near the top at the very least. Will have to win the lottery to live in a place like Vail or Aspen though. Looking at the southwestern part of the state. I've seen some affordable places out there.

Whataburger is trash. It’s just Texas Burger King.

I always find it funny when Texans try to hype it up. Nobody outside of Texas gives a **** about it for a reason.

The spicy ketchup is cool though.

My girl is originally from Austin, and when I went down there with her a couple years ago she had me try Whataburger. Told her it reminded me of BK (which ain't a bad thing, BK is cool) and she legit took offense to it :lol

Whataburger is trash. P Terry’s is way better and homegrown too.

Whataburger sold out a few years ago.

You can find better at just about any hometown joint.

Thats that weird *** associative coherence. Folks find out the company sold and all of a sudden it fell off.

Funny cuz a bunch of fam/friends that moved to Dfw from Cali during covid moving right back

Dallas vs Houston

Lol
Dallas is terrible. They are a microcosm of what everyone thinks Texas is. And it’s culturally dry as hell. Food isn’t anywhere near as good either. Houston is more diverse and has more women too.

Only people that would really pick Dallas over Houston are people that are from Dallas.

Houston > Austin> >>>>SA/dallas

The Dallas cowboys though?

Im here in the Houston area until July for work and the final judgement on the following has been given

Bucees = awesome, I’ve never seen anything like it. I stopped at the one on the I-10 between San Antonio and Katy and my jaw hit the floor at the number of pumps

H-E-B = cool grocery store, very friendly staff

I-45 = worst highway in America, thankfully the toll road helps me avoid it altogether

Overall cool place, I can see why people move here

The summer heat in Texas alone would do it for me. That was the worst heat I've ever been in.
I went to Austin and Houston this past August for the first time and the heat is unbearable. Especially, Houston smh. Great place to eat good and meet some friendly people, but that heat in the summer months says it all lol. Booming economy, though.

Big Texas Thread!

Visited a friend in Houston sometime last year. Apparently I was in the hood. Somewhere in Alief county. Wasn't feelin it.

Had a work stay in Austin a couple months back. Stayed near Austin Airport. Wasn't feelin it. I was driving to see the capitol and went passed Dirty 6th Street. **** was worse than Downtown LA.

Going to Brownsville next week. Hoping to eat some good Mexican food.

Dona Leti’s food was soooooo good! This was off I-10. They give you so much food for what you pay for lol

Trill Burgers was solid. Burgers do have a flavor taste to them.

So many of the Famous (Black) Food spots in HOU seem to be so trendy. Not waiting in line to eat at a damn spot when there are dozens of other solid spots around the city.

Trills, BReakfast Club, (Closed Down) Turkey Legs Hut.
