Dog, I'm so sick of hearing the most uncreative chant ever... "LET'S GO ORANGE!". I'm sick of it cuz it's our ONLYchant.Originally Posted by SCuse7
Yea our crowd is so annoying and boring. We get no chants going at all.

How many times have you seen his lefty this year?

I did. Legitimate job.
im playin jdot...no more tip in dunks for 3 point plays? Ok?
but yeah...we turn it over > 15 times and don't shoot well, we lose. That's always the story.
The thing that I don't get about the student section is that they teach all incoming students what to say during games (at least when I was afreshman) at orientation at the Carrier Dome. The thing that makes it hard is that we are restricted as to what we can do/say. Its hard to explain but freshmanyear in the section was good but then it declined dramatically over the past couple of years (including this one). There is no school spirit at 'Cuse. Dukehas school spirit but there isn't much to do there anyway so that's why they are always crazy. Their crowd is too close for comfort. I'm surprisedno player has gotten into it with a fan. Plus like Malta said, none of the cool people go to the games, only the nerds. It's the opposite at 'Cuse. TheBMOCs, frats and sororities all go to the games. They are either drunk, high or both (Kappa coke !%@%@*). Take today for example, it was just awful. An earlygame after a Saturday night in which most people go out (even though it was 6 degrees) is destined for failure. My man had tickets but was too hungover tocome.Originally Posted by SHUGES

I have no idea what Syracuse's longest win streak at the Carrier Dome is. But it seems like we always lose a handful of games at home every single year. How ND wins 45 straight at home and we can't piece together a little 10 game streak at TCD is beyond me.

I hate Duke but I love the enthusiasm of those stupid Cameron Crazies. Jumping up and down at the same time...

Or even this:
I mean, when you go to Duke, you know you're really playing against 6 men. Sometimes more depending on the refs...
There's another team I can't think of right now... When the opposition is on the line, they go "whoooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" "whoooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa". Or something like that.
Other teams home arena get death quiet when the home team is shooting free throws. Then yell "WOO" if they hit it. (Or in Duke's case, "BLUE!")
I mean, every damn team got some sort of chant or taunt that they are known for. And all we got is "Let's Go Orange!". Damn shame.
Interesting that ND really doesn't have much of one tho, or at least not near the court...surprising that winning streak was so long...idk what gives....it's dark in that gym, but that's it
It's incredibly hot in there. Erin Andrews kept complaining about it last night.

Yea really. Were all about that $$$$$$$$$$$$$Originally Posted by SHUGES

Stop it. The player of the year is from the BE but it ain't Blair.
'Gody. His team would be one of the two or three worst in the BE if it wasn't for him.

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- Houston junior guard Aubrey Coleman apologized Sunday for stepping on the face of Arizona forward Chase Budinger.
Coleman was ejected from Saturday's loss to the Wildcats when he nearly caused a full-blown fight by stepping on Budinger after being called for charging.
The Cougars' second-leading scorer dribbled down the left baseline and bulled over Budinger, then stepped on the fallen player's head as he walked by. An enraged Budinger got up and had to be restrained.
Coleman was assessed a flagrant foul and escorted to the locker room.
"I want to apologize to Chase Budinger for what happened Saturday night. I never meant to step on him," Coleman said in a statement. "I have never been in an incident like this before and I have nothing but respect for him as a great player.
"I love the game too much to do something like that intentionally. I want to say I am sorry from the bottom of my heart. I know that God knows what is in my heart, but I am hopeful that Chase will understand and forgive."
Houston coach Tom Penders said his staff would review the incident with director of athletics Dave Maggard and department administrators. Penders doesn't think it was intentional, though.
"Aubrey is one of the finest kids, both on the floor and off the floor, that I have had the privilege to coach," Penders said. "I know that he regrets the situation, but he is an exemplary student-athlete in all ways, shapes and forms."
Coleman is averaging 18.1 points and 7.8 rebounds in 17 games this season.
