Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae 2.0 coming early June

View media item 1539067

Version 2.0 of Final Fantasy XV‘s Episode Duscae demo will launch in early June, Square Enix announced.

When it was first announced last month, Square Enix wasn’t sure whether it’d be able to release it due to uncertainty with console manufacturer’s policies about releasing an update to a demo.

Confirmed features for the update include enhancements to the battle system, camera and targeting enhancements, and additional combat actions. Other features are also under consideration.

Square Enix will share more details in a follow-up report.

Should include all the stuff that didn't make the cut for the Type-0 deadline.

Sony opens new VR-focused first-party studio

Sony Computer Entertainment has added a new studio to its portfolio of first-party developers.

Based in the North West of England, SCE North West Studio is “an ambitious new studio to create original games exclusively for Project Morpheus, PlayStation’s VR platform.”

The studio is putting together a small, but experienced team of developers. They’re seeking a level designer, character animator, lead artist, game designer, lead designer, graphics engine programmer, gameplay programmer, and lead & gameplay programmer.

Sony previously said it would share more details about Morpheus, as well as its games, at E3 in June

Why is type 0 not on vita?

Couple of reasons from what I heard.

SE wants the Japanese to jump on next gen consoles so that the install base is large by the time FFXV comes out. A Vita version would have decreased sales on PS4.

Portables are dying in the west so a Vita version wouldn't have sold more than the PS4 outside of Japan and might not have been worth the effort.

PS4 only also helps with distributing the FFXV demo.

vii is the illest.

lol @ 50 hours

that's nothing.

i had 120 hours on skyrim before i realized what the numbers in the saved games meant.

got multiple 100+ hour fallout games

pssssh, when i had ff vii the first time, i didn't have a memory card for like 2 months, so i would just play the whole first disc (up until you get to shinra) , over and over.

welcome to the world of RPG lol

Some times I try to play a Final Fantasy game.

Then I stop.

All those trips to Blockbuster growing up and I don't recall ever renting a jrpg.

And it's not like I even knew what a jrpg was as a kid. I would just grab games that looked cool. But never once did I stumble upon one.

super mario paper b

Why didn't you just buy a memory card?

Super Mario RPG, another classic from Square. I can't even get into Paper Mario, it doesn't even come close to what Super Mario RPG was.

I love FF VII but I do agree it is a tad bit overrated. It was revolutionary and the first 3d FF game. FF VI was so much better imo. The characters, story, music, the bosses etc were all better in FF VI.

Man so many great squaresoft games were produced from SNES to PSX... :smokin

Anyone play xenogears? One of my favorite PSX square games that doesn't get much buzz

I never played Xenogears but always thought copping from them PS store. I just always figure it'll get tossed in the backlog so its probably better to wait.

Xenogears is top 5 PSX games for me.. FF7, SOTN, FF9, MGS, XG

I highly recommend giving it a try if you are a fan of other PSX square games. It's fantastic..

So I ended up re-buying BF4 Premium. First digital purchase too.

How the hell am I suppose to level up when everyone is camping your spawning points and have 10000000% accuracy in sniping? So frustrating.

I was quickly reminded why I didn't enjoy the game without communicating with the squad.

Super mario RPG from squaresoft (SNES) and paper mario (64) are different games.

Xenogears was good, but it's a Nintendo franchise now. They have a new one dropping this year, Xenoblade X.

There are so many RPG's on the original Playstation that everyone overlooks.

Wild ARMS series

Grandia series

Legend of Legaia

Legend of Dragoon

Arc the Lad series

Azure Dreams

Jade Cocoon

Lunar Series

Monster Rancher

and I am missing a bunch.

I love the FF series, but in an alternate universe, I'd love to see where a few of these series would be if they were still cranking out games.

^^^^ yup so many great games...

Lunar, Star Ocean, Alundra, tales of destiny, dragon warrior, Chrono Cross, persona, vagrant story, tacticts, suikoden, breath of fire, parasite eve, saga frontier, threads of fate, etc. So much greatness

Man, I loved Super Mario RPG and would love to play through it again :hat

You're talking about FFVI as in the North American FFIII right? With Sabin, Locke and the rest of that crew.

Also, srs question as I haven't been keeping up, are there any differences in the console versions of Witcher 3? I was planning on just getting it for the PS4.
