Hi NT crew
I got notification today that 3 of my posts had been removed because of 'Wrong thread'. I assume these were new cws of the Structure Plus, that I posted in the active Pegasus thread. I was surprised they got removed as I've posted many other cws before that never got flagged/removed.
But this example brings me to a bigger topic I wanted to address for a while.
Yes I posted the Structure Plus in the Pegasus thread. Doesn't really make sense, right?
However, the Pegasus thread evolved in the past years into the 'modern Nike runners' thread, with a lot of people posting stuff on (sort of) related Vomero/Structure models/iterations, and even other modern day Nike runners as well, even though often seperate threads exist on those particular models.
So why didn't other non-Pegasus posts get deleted as well?
The bigger topic is:
there's a lot of duplicate threads (and therefore duplicate content) on NT, and more or less related, thread titles aren't always clear imo.
The Pegasus thread is a good example of this. This remains the active thread (based on posting numbers), however some people don't know and post in the model specific threads (f.e. the seperate Structure Plus thread, or the Vomero Premium thread).
Another example is Deion Sanders related shoe threads. Currently there seem to be 3 active threads on this topic, with content being posted in 2 or sometimes all 3 of them. And I can find more examples of this.
And then the naming of threads.
If you want the Pegasus thread to remain the active 'modern day Nike runner' thread, then the current title doesn't really make sense.
Or... from a certain point onwards, only allow actual Pegasus related content and redirect other stuff to their own threads.
The AM95 thread was called something like '2020-2021 Air Max 95 thread' for a few years, not too long ago this was changed to 'Official 2026 AM95'. This suggests that there might also be a '25 AM95 thread, a '24 AM95 thread and so on.
Why not simply call it Air Max 95 ?
Same for the Huarache runner thread. Called 'HUARACHE LE RETRO 30th anniversary release this year???' for ages (still referring to the '21 release)
Why not simply call it Huarache runner ?
A thread named 'AGAIN?? Nike Trainer SC High Retro - Spring 2013'. Still the active thread on this model.
Why not simply call it Trainer SC High ?
I can find many more examples but I think you get the point by now.
Thanks for any feedback provided and for reading (tried to keep it short as possible)
