This show deserves its own thread outside of the HBO thread.

Absolutely loved it and am sad it’s over. Who else watched?

Episode 7 was some of the most chilling imagery I think I’ve seen on screen. Can’t wait to see what they do with season 2.

As a kid when the TV miniseries was a rentable movie, and I saw the cover, my dad would tell me if I didn’t behave he’d “tape my eyes open and make me watch IT.”

The story has always intrigued me and I LOVE how much they’ve done with it and expanded on it.

The 90’s miniseries has nothing what they can do now 🤣 I can’t imagine seeing Bill Skarsgards Pennywise as a kid.

Was gonna binge this after Stranger Things. I can only do a group of children, taking down an evil entity, one at a time:lol

Was watching them both , and Stranger Things just wasn’t doing it for me after Derry lol.

Gotta admit, i thojght the actor who played the original Pennywise in the last episode was Hugo Weaving.

The ending was so confusing to me. It Chapter 2 is still the best movie of them all

I was up and down on the season but I feel like they got the finale right. Plus I really liked Pennywise's new look with the red.

It just worked.

Overall a good season. Not great, but it was enjoyable. Some of the CGI was downright terrible, as was some of the child acting. But it’s dope how they explored the lore deeper than the movies did—there really is a lot from the book that the films and original series never touched on.

Also, Skarsgard as Pennywise is GOATed. Scene stealer every single time!

Finished this season today. Great finale imo. Looking forward to whatever Chapter 2 brings us.

Definitely enjoyed this series. Liked some of the Easter eggs from the book, I really hope they keep it going.

I loved it and miss it already. 8 episodes is too short but that seems to be the norm the past few years.
Shows used to be 20-24 episodes and went on for 6 months like the X-files but you cant compare the budgets though

Great series.

It had some of the most disturbing images I've seen in movies/shows. There is this constant feeling where you dont know what's real and what's a dream - similar to the Nightmare on Elm street movies.

I look forward to the next seasons covering each of the events during the cycle. I think “It” is going to try to reverse his death that happened in chapter 2 by manipulating time.

IT's cosmic form cant be killed. You can just force it into hibernation.
Which is what we saw at the end of the show - the ball of light blazing back into the woods

You’re right

Chapter 2 made it seem like he parished and he also mentioned to Marge that her future son killed him, so I think they’re going to alter it so he see’s humans as a threat like in Chapter 2. That’s just my opinion anyways.

[SPOILERS BELOW]

I'm excited for Season 2 but I am weary about them introducing non-linear time. That can be tricky if it isn't done right. Basically it opens the door for them to fix any problem by manipulating time and that makes for lazy writing.

This is what the problem is with like all franchises now.
I thought season 1 was excellent
