Where have you seen that data? I live in Boulder Colorado, and it is an extremely liberal place. It has some of the lowest vaccination rates, and one of the most “prestigious” schools has just over 50% vaccination rate

Naw the new hippie movement is real. People thinking essential oils work better than meds. Then you have the other side that thinks their kids don’t listen to them because they need meds. World is crazy

Dunno... I think the medical industry is a business like other industries and they do what they need to do in order to maintain the status quo.

Theres a lot of things that go into those vaccinations and most ppl dont read about it at all and those doctors bank on that. They profit off of certain things you do as a patient.

For people who are lucky enough to have health insurance and enough income to afford deductibles and copays, US healthcare is excellent but our for profit system nudges doctors, in a variety of contexts, to over prescribe and to do unneeded surgeries at the expense of wellness and less invasive treatments. Because medical professionals deal with such intimate and, at times, life and death issues and they initially enjoy such a high level of trust, the times that they make a bad call, either individually or as a profession, it leaves many people in position where their reaction is to completely ignore anything that healthcare professionals say.

So while US doctors should, at the margins, consider a more holistic approach; for the love of God, People, get your kids vaccinated. This is not a private lifestyle choice, this is a serious public health matter.

I believe this. It is the god that the pope used in order to bless that slave ships that left the ports for safe passage. It is the god that places women below men, it is the god that allows the imprisonment of children, and it is also the god that says that white people have the right to rule the earth due to the color of their skin. I believe Huckabee, and I believe that she hears that god clearly, and he speaks through Trump.

I can't wait for my Goddess to whip his ***, just like Pelosi has with her pointed heels sticking into trump's crotch.

for the love of God, People, get your kids vaccinated. This is not a private lifestyle choice, this is a serious public health matter.

Public health is one of the most socialist ideas out there. This idea that you should do something with your body to benefit everyone in the community seems like the antithesis of individualism, capitalism, etc.

But in reality it's just the social contract at play. Right-wing freedom-lovers have been unable to square away their disdain for anything socialist with all the benefits society (including corporations and the bottom line) gains from things like public health campaigns.

So Katie Hill, the newly elected Congress Person whose district includes Simi Valley, endorsed Kamala Harris. For those who may not know, Simi Valley is the city that produced the Rodney King verdict, it has the highest concentration of police officers of any city in California and its an epicenter of white supremacy.

Now if Kamala Harris were such a progressive reformer, why would the representative of Simi Valley (a city that Willie Brown called a “reactionary suburb”) endorse her. Katie Hill is not foolish politically so why endorse someone whose self proclaimed policy priorities are so at odds with white, conservative law enforcement?

I’m not saying that Kamala Harris is a reactionary cop but the reactionary cops must believe she’s a reactionary cop.
