Queen Elizabeth II Has Died at Age 96

. But I do find it fascinating how people react to such historic moments in time. America ( like many other countries) has this weird obsession with the royal family.

America is like that because they’re descendants of that whole royalty structure. Their ancestors just broke off from it at some point but you see how the media still likes to keep track of them as if they’re still important to American households. I don’t really care for any of those “royal” members when their scandals are mentioned on the news.

Can someone explain to me why I should care about the Queen passing?

Does it hold any global political significance? I’m genuinely curious.

Eh, you probably don't need to care.

I think as Americans it's a bit harder to understand, since we don't really have a comparison.

But I think it's hard to deny her global significance, whether mostly symbolic or not.

"The mother****ing old lady died!"

"Applause to Satan for taking her out!"

Cotdamn.
