Good pick up nonetheless.
The Pacers have some serviceable young talent (Roy Hibbert, Tyler Hansbrough, Brandon Rush) and $40+ million in expiring contracts (Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, T.J. Ford, Jeff Foster and Jamaal Tinsley,) so maybe they make a run at someone by the trade deadline next season to help Danny Granger.
Not exactly (with Tinsley). He's still getting money from them, but he's no longer on their roster. So yes, his salary is still being counted against them as far I know, but he can't be an expiring contract that can be traded, since he isn't even with them. Tinsley is currently a UFA.
And all this crap people saying the Heat going to go out and sign Tracy, or whoever now.., pay attention. The Heat already have 15 guaranteed contracts, and then Shavlik Randolph's partially guaranteed deal.
* Joel Anthony
* Carlos Arroyo
* Chris Bosh
* Mario Chalmers
* Kenny Hasbrouck
* Udonis Haslem
* Eddie House
* Juwan Howard
* Zydrunas Ilgauskas
* LeBron James
* James Jones
* Jamaal Magloire
* Mike Miller
* Dexter Pittman
* Shavlik Randolph (p)
* Dwyane Wade
Magloire, Haslem, Bosh, Howard, Z, and Anthony? That's not a bad 4/5 depth chart.

Maybe not right now, but if T-Mac is still unsigned in the middle of the season and the Heat are somehow interested... Pretty easy to say old man Juwan Howard is injured and sign T-Mac. Fake injuries FTW!Originally Posted by JapanAir21

It aint enough to compete with a healthy Lakers though, Hell Bynum at what ever he was during the post season can do damage against them
Word? Same Bynum that averaged 7/5/1 in the Finals?
And 8.6, and 7 for the playoffs?
The guy just had another knee surgery, minor or not, I want to see him play a full season for once. Play a 70+ game season for once in the past few years please?
Or maybe, can we wait to see how the Heat do before we write them off?
Plus, they're in a different conference, once you reach the finals, it really doesn't matter how well teams stack up.
The Lakers were the heavy favorites on paper for the Finals last year, but the Celtic's still took them to 7. Once you reach the Finals, it's completely up in the air.
