They're going to be looking for cap relief and I assume they don't desire Jameer Nelson that much seeing as how they have Darren Collison.
That trade scenario is exactly what I was thinking too!

What would the Magic do with Nelson then?!? Dump him for a bag of chips from Indy?

me and u dont have to argue. bosh is playing with lebron, who needs nash? amare is the leader of the knicks. felton is a bum right? so we can just watch the season and see who is right. i've crapped on amare's rebounding and defense.... but he's more of a game changer than bosh and slightly better imo
Talent wise, he's absolutely head and shoulders above Amare.

I didn't know winning rookie of the year made you a superior player, damn, thanks for letting me know!
laugh.gif
. The difference between Yao and Amare that first year were marginal. There were tons of years if Amare were in a different draft class, he wouldn't have won it. He won with 13.5/9 rebounds. Reke just won it with 20/5/5, Bron won his with 21/5/6, Durant with 20/4/2, I can go on and on.

You look at some of the talent that the Suns have had on their rosters compared to what Chris Bosh has had. It's very comparable to Pau Gasol on his trash-+%+ Grizzlies rosters (no offense Bhz, I know those were the glory days when you guys made the Playoffs every now and again
laugh.gif
), they would get into the Playoffs sure, but never got anywhere. Three straight first round exits, he goes to a contender, boom, two championships. Amare was on a legitimate contender for quite a few years, and suddenly now that he has a significant drop in talent on his team, you're expecting him to make some noise in the Playoffs? I'm being dead real when he's fortuante if he makes it to the playofs, let alone do anything. He needs at least one other huge name. Even then, contenders? From the East? It's going to be hard with the Magic, Heat, and Celtics still kicking around, not to mention the Hawks (who haven't really put anything together, but they keep staying around).

So lets hear it. What makes Amare better than Bosh? Bosh is definitely a better rebounder, he has overall a far superior offensive skill-set than Amare, Bosh has very nice hands for a big man, good hands around the basket, arguing about defense between the two isn't really worth bringing up.

I just don't see how Amare fricking Stoudemire is better than Chris Bosh.

Emeka over Dwight? A package including Odom and Bynum for CP3 with no big in return???

What in the world are y'all on

I dont want bynum touched personally...the odom, machine, and puke trade is perfect

Broussard says CP3's naming teams, but he has no leverage.

I think it will be the Magic or Knicks just involving some big contracts.

wait till the old man wakes up
i didn't say they would be a lock. i'm saying "contend".

best point guard and a top 3 power forward? if they keep some semblance of a core and as long as they got someone to deal with bynum. I don't think it's a crazy statement.

How close to a chip were Amare and Nash?  Not very.  (yes, CP3 is better then Steve, just like Amare 3 years ago was better then he will be next season)

And they had better players around them then the Knicks would put around CP3 and Amare.

I already seen this scenario before, and it didn't work.

Now add a Melo to the equation......

I think Cake was right....why would NO send Paul to where he wants to go?  Hornets have the ball (no pun) in their court.  They could send him to Minnesota if they wanted....

Bill Simmons' idea....trade didn't work in the machine, but BS also said to throw in a 2011 1st round pick +3mil

5zi23p.png

NO would be insane not to do this....

Homerism aside..

Aaron Brooks who's on the last year of his rookie deal. NO will own his Bird Rights, and can resign him to a good contract, since the new bargaining agreement will take place. Or they can S&T him if they so choose.

Expirings in Battier/Jeffries/Hayes. That's like 15-16M+ in expirings alone with all 3.

A PF in Hill or Patterson. Backup to West, eventual replacement.

Trevor Ariza if that floats NO's boat.

Right to swap 2011 1st rder with NYK, top 1 protected and/or 2012 NYK 1st rder top 5 protected/2012 Hou 1st rder

Don't think NO would want to trade him to a division rival, but maybe they won't be division rivals if NO moves the team?

CP3 can name teams he wants to go to, but at the end of the day, NO can trade him anywhere. They have 2 years to find a worthwhile deal, and CP3 can't do anything about anything until he's a FA, where he can really dictate where he wants to go. Until then, tough luck. He's at the mercy of NO's front office.

What a clown.......

Simmons spends all spring/summer sayin Rondo is the best PG in the game, and first thing he does is try to get him traded for CP3?
grin.gif

What an idiot.

I'm sure NO would be THRILLED to take a retired player, an injured player, Rondo, and the 25th pick in the draft for CP3.

did u see his rationale behind moving rondo?  He said he'd move him because Kobe was playing 8 feet off the ball in the Finals.

Thing with Simmons is, he hyped up Rondo, but like he said, we all saw what the Lakers did with him. Play 8 feet off him, and tighten the defense against everybody else, as, Rondo isn't going to really hurt you with his lack of j.

Understood, that's why you don't spend 3 months hyping the guy as the best point guard in the game in the first place.

Anytime Bill speaks on Boston, it's time to start listening.

Every play Rondo made this spring Bill was tweeting about it, articles about it, podcasts, on and on and on, and the SECOND that Paul is available, Bill's true color shows thru.
smh.gif

^ Isn't Simmons right, though? Rondo's play changed significantly to where he stayed away from driving and getting to the FT line because he was so terrible at it. He didn't want to attack the basket at all when he either had foul trouble or late in the game and that's one of the better parts of his game. Not saying they should go through with the trade but Simmons isn't off by that much.

In other news, the Nets were gonna offer Scola a 5 year 55M deal, front loaded with a 9.5M signing bonus.

He opted to stay with Houston 5 year 47M.

Scola =

You're missing the point. If Sheed really retires, that money goes straight off the books.

Perkins should be better by the starting of the season, with perkins next to West, he's going to do wonders.

maybe its just me, i'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat if im NO.

I know we may not have a chance due to our location, but damn make a competitive offer and see what happens.

OJ, zbo 17M expiring, thabeet, arthur or sam, picks can get it done. Whether CP3 wants to come here is a different story, but he does have a close friend in rudy. We might be able to do just oj, thabeet, zbo and picks for cp4 and posey or okafor. Paul, gay n gasol can put in work. Marc just needs more touches inside. sam, henry, okafor, conley, tony allen, arthur would be the role players.ima wait on bangdak to tell me how getting probably the biggest expiring on the market, a young shot clocking presence and at the very least a good scorer is nothing. That magic offer isnt better nor the knicks offer. If bynum stays hurt, its no good either. We got enough people to make a competitive offer. Young players, big expiring, potential and picks. Thats what it takes, nothing more.

West will be 31 next season, him and Perk together do nothing.

Having Rondo (the best peice coming back) still makes less sense with Collison already on the roster.  They'd have to make ANOTHER deal to move him for parts.

They get money free'd up, but would have no one to give it too.  I love Rondo, but him on a team by himself isn't going to draw free agents, and if you thought playin off him 8 feet was bad with elite guys around, imagine playin off him with not much help around him.
smh.gif

So I'm sorry, I don't see that being a sweet deal for the Hornets.  (dependant on what they could get for Collison.)

And Paul, Gay and Gasol?
laugh.gif
How has Paul's situation improved there BHZ?  I don't think Paul would welcome that one little bit.
