Possibly.

I don't even think it is about the money.

Michelle hates politics.

Obama's theory of progressivism is that younger activist and candidates should run. He had this saying that a new president shouldn't be sworn in with a head full of grey hair.

Unfortunately for him, the Dem bench got wiped out before 2016. So Hillary was the best option.

Plus, he probably sick and tired of all those **** Bois on Capitol Hill.

Possibly. I can definitely see a good number of Trump supporters going that way.

If Booker was at the top of the ticket, it would be an even stronger possibility. A black man in the highest office is important, no matter the policies. That said, Booker is strong on prison reform so win-win.

But Bernie’s inevitable tax increases and increased regulations are problematic

Joe: "Hello, hello, hello Barack, this is Joe. Now listen I got sent this treaty by them damn Frenchies, and the PDF is upside down. How do you make this God dang thing look right?"

Other Person: Uncle Joe is this Malia, not my dad. You dialed the wrong number, again.

Joe: Oh sorry dear!....hangs up and dials Obama......Hello Barack?

Other Person: It's Sasha

Joe: Dang it.
Obama: "Joe just calling to see if you need anything. I'm here for you Joey."

Biden: "Barack let me call you back. I'm busy putting together the Middle East peace treaty."

10 seconds later

Biden: "Hello Barack? Hey how you been buddy? Long time no hear! Hey look, I'm working on this peace treaty and need a little help."

Barack: "OK Joey what you got?"

Biden: "How do you spell Palestinian?"

Trump on Twitter: I was listening to the illegal wire taps we planted in the white house and dumb Joe Biden cant spell Palisteniun! Dumb Joe is such a loser... #BeBest

Beto had structural things to overcome. Being relatively unknown, no strong base of support from African Americans, etc.

But I thought because he spoke Spanish fluently and could campaign his *** off, he could gain traction. He is great at retial politics. Plus I think he could have fit into a nice lane between Warren and Biden.

But stupidly waited too long to enter, didn't do press, didn't run ads, and didn't press in debates. While I think he was sincere after the El Paso shooting, his position on gun seizures pretty much killed his campaign.

Overall I like Beto though. Much more than Pete. Beto seemed to move off his moderate positions because he realized this previously head beliefs were wrong, and him maintaining them was not the right thing to do. There was a level of sincerity about him. I like he didn't kiss the *** of white people like others did.

Pete on the other hand I got the opposite impression. Say what you will in the moment to score points. Everything calculated based on what a consultant tells you the best angle is.

Beto just isn't POTUS material, would make a great role player if he comes to realize the latter though.
Nah, I think he is definitely POTUS material. Hell under different primary circumstances he may have had a better chance.

He has unique politicial talents. But him being in Texas buts a ceiling on his ambition. Same with Pete.

He is not a Biden. Someone who runs a structurally sound campaign but can't stop shooting himself in the foot.

Anyway, generally most candidates that ran in the primary would make decent Presidents.

I don't see it, I mean, imagine not being able to rile up enough of the electorate to beat Ted Cruz. I'll be the first here to name him MIP if he manages to turn that situation around but until then I can't imagine him as POTUS.

The last line in the letter: "finding the best way to fix healthcare in America" reads to me like they're really saying "this guy wants to give everybody else the one special thing/bargaining power our organization has to offer and his supporters called us out on it".
Culinary Health insurance is probably the best in Nevada. And I believe it has no premiums as well. It is just not some big time private insurance plan, it is funded through a trust.

The issue they have seems to be that M4A would make it illegal. I know some people that have it fear that M4A is not sustainable and will eventually have to have premiums, deductibles, and co-pays. So eventually they will be getting a worst deal. So they want the option to keep Culinary.

Sanders people already made some concessions to unions in regards to M4A supposedly being a net lost for their members.

Other unions like it because it gives their members benefits they can't get at xo tract time.

It is a union, that represents a lot of blue collar workers, many of them minorities. Plus the have been integral in turning the state blue. I think people should consider they are attacking in good faith on this.

A black became president

Then a modern facist that was a reality TV star

A self proclaimed socialist might be next

Maybe it is time to expand your view of who can become president. Luck and circumstance plays a major part to.

Texas is a red state. Cruz is popular there, Trump didn't even beat him there if I remember correctly. Not beating Ted Cruz in Texas is not a knock on Beto. Bernie and Liz would have been ran the same fade. If the race took place in say Arizona, Beto is a Senator right now.

I have no clue about the particulars of the situation (e.g., "vicious attacks" and such), but any labor union opposing Medicare for All is hustling backwards at the end of the day.

That same union decided not to support him in '16 IIRC so, whatever concessions they made weren't enough. And if we're being honest unions aren't the bastion/stronghold of the left-wing like they used to be and haven't been since Reagan era, I don't think it's a reach to consider that this could be a case of "**** you I got mine".
