I said MORE knowledgeable than me. Not sure why you replied
From my understanding the FBI will interview both of them, any witnesses, and try to corroborate their stories the best they can.

Unless something really egregious is found, it will be a he said she said.

However, it probably means Judge will have to speak on the issue, something the GOP didn't want. And Kavanaugh won't be able to deflect like he didn't in front of Senate, he will ha e to answer more directly

I think that Dems and Repubs care about the balance of the Court being in their favor. I think that the goal, for Dems at least, is to delay this until after the elections. So they can block Kav and get a moderate or liberal on the bench. I think the goal for Repubs is to push it forward as quickly as possible to avoid the result of the elections.

"Justice" whatever that means to you, won't be obtained by this Senate process. No charges have been filed. Kav is currently sitting on the second highest court in America. This process is quite obviously political. On both sides. At least Rusty is willing to concede that part.

I am of the opinion that they want Kavanaugh installed hastily because he can rule on Gamble Vs. United States. It is coming up in October. "States Rights" Republicans want to block the ability of states to pursue charges after a federal (presidential) pardon has been granted.

What do you think about this theory?

This is about destroying the Russia investigation and consequences for the targets. If they go through with this and clearly assist Trump in obstructing justice (which is what this is), they have twisted two branches of government in kowtowing to a wannabe-authoritarian.

I and many others will be in the streets. I'm not letting my country turn into a 3rd world banana republic.

I mean I don't think that theory is probably the main focus. I mean, generally, they want him in to be a conservative vote.

Justice is doing what’s fair and balanced, hence the scales of justiceS It’s seeing through that the right thing is done. I’m not saying what the dems do isn’t politically motivated, it absolutely is. But when Lindsey Graham grandstands like he did yesterday and cries foul for what he thinks is unfair. He implies that he wants justice, and the just thing to do is to investigate this accusation from Dr. Ford. I disagree that we’re going to be in the same position next week. Mark Judge apparently is willing to cooperate with the FBI probe, and if he lies to them he is committing a felony. We will most definitely have more information than we do now.

Your argument is valid. But I don't think that issue has actually been determined. It is an open legal question.
Retroactive applications of laws can be quite beneficial but in the case of changes to criminal statutes it generally seems like a horrible idea to me.
Something like retroactively applying Obergefell so same-sex couples who married before the ruling qualify for certain spousal or widow benefits makes perfect sense in my view.
But something like a retroactive application of changes to statutes of limitation is opening a can of worms that is probably better left shut.

So now the Trump Adminstration is admitting climate change is real, and it is man made. Not only that, the problem with Obama's regulations is that they didn't do enough to solve the problem

So.......let the Trump Adminstration do absolutely nothing because we are already ******, nothing we can do, so let us pollute some more.

Only silver lining to this buffoonery is that is completely craps on the nonsense NT conservatives peddled in here.
