It’s all love brethren. I just cannot for the life of me understand the logic behind anyone who thinks guns being easier to attain than a drivers license is a good idea.

I’m sure you’re super chill irl since youre an NTer (no sarcasm). We just have complete opposite opinions on this

I feel you but let's be real... you can drive at like 16. And despite the law, weed, liquor, cigarettes, etc are all easily accessible to teenagers. I am actually with you on the fact that these things shouldn't be in the hands of children. But I don't think any law will change it. Dude had handguns too. And he was too young for that based on Florida law.

Irl I wish I had the solution. Because these tragedies are unacceptable

Trump was already claiming the whole thing was rigged by Crooked Hillary without any help from Obama though. Joe Biden also stated that Obama had a meeting with McConnell, asked him to work together on a bipartisan statement about Russian election interference and McConnell allegedly blocked it and said he would bash it as partisan politics. You know that's exactly what they would have done if Obama came out more forcefully during the election. Joe Biden wasn't the only one, for example there's also an op-ed written by a frustrated WH employee at the time who complained about McConnell's response.

Sadly you can't legislate away hateful people doing hateful things. The solution is changing hearts and minds. Of course that isn't a real solution. And I don't know the solution to prevent these types of tragedies

You know that one solution that you don't want to implement. Yes we can't control the hearts and minds, but we sure can control access to guns.

Remember, without controlling access to schools and property in the 60s you wouldn't be here talking about "I can't buy a property everywhere I want!" in 2018.

You'd be talking about getting out of some redlined slum, waiting for hearts and minds to change.

People watch a lot of tv and think that AR-15 style rifles are rapid fire guns where you hold down the trigger and they fire non-stop... no. The things are just large and extreme looking. You get hit once by a .45 or anAR-15 style rifle you likely going to be critical. The rifle would have an accuracy advantage. That's about it. And that's only if someone knows how to shoot.
