For Desantis, does everybody really feel like his national/presidential prospects are slim? I feel like it's the opposite generally. Like I haven't specifically seen polls or rationales why his madness won't work in this state or that state. All I know is these republicans absolutely love these extremist takes and it just seems like they're going to get whipped up into a frenzy with fear and all vote for the guy. And not in spite of him saying dangerous, crazy **** and enacting dangerous, crazy policies, but because of that.
What makes anybody think DeSantis won't win the Republican nomination and then bring out the worst in the "we're losin the country!" types and their ilk, on the way to winning the white house? This "oh he can't win" thing feels similar to 8 years ago.
