Texas did it dirty. They didn't BAN abortions, they just banned them after six weeks, but nobody knows they're actually pregnant until well after the six weeks. It's a way of circumventing it on a technicality to still punish women who get pregnant.

Also, remember, the anti-abortion people don't give a flying eff about the baby (once it's born). It's punishment for the woman having sex. She's on her own after that. If they actually cared, they'd care about social services. But, that would be Communism, and we can't have that.

they don’t give an eff about the baby BEFORE it is born outside of the singular issue of abortion
they haven’t pushed a single piece of legislation to make that whole process easier and cheaper

This has always been the playbook of the GOP: keep the laws that are popular on the books, but write smaller legislation that defangs and incapacitates them to the point they can be referred to as vegetative.
Come election time, they'll tell most of those who are not paying attention "look, we haven't overturned Roe v Wade like the lying Democrats said we would" in order to make Democrats look like overreacting idiots, and it works because major media outlets, corporate-owned and a parody of what the 4th estate should be, parrot the same BS without ever challenging the intent of those targeted laws.
