NT Uber Drivers

You're right. Forgot all about St. Patty's Day. Probably going to start around 7 pm or so tomorrow night

Not tying to scare you, but bring cleaning supplies green beer makes a monster mess... I tend to take a smoke break from 2:00 to 2:30 to avoid the vomiters most of the time. Yeah I miss some surges, but I make up for it driving select so...

Uber approval just came through :pimp: amy tips for my first weekend?

Don't trip about your ratings too much, I tell my passengers my AUX cord and charger were stolen otherwise someone will steal it anyways, get some good floor mats "weathertech" is pricy, but your best bet, and stay with cleaning supplies ESPECIALLY if your working bar/club scenes someone will throw up sooner or later and it will take you off the road for the night. GET A DASHCAM passengers will make up all kinds of stuff just to avoid paying for a ride. Last thing you need is some sexual harrasment accusation. Most passengers are chil,l but most rated below a 4.6 are gonna be a problem. Again not trying to scare you, just trying to give you a heads up.

uberpeople.net has some crazy good stories, and some decent tips sometimes. Some guys on there are trolls and tell you the opposite of what you should do so if you browse there beware. Also Uber and Lyft monitor the site so if you post beware of what you say.

Repped. I'll definitely get some cleaning supplies in the AM. especially with St. Patty's Day being on a Saturday

St Pattys weekend I'm ready. Gonna be a fun weekend with a lot of profits to be made.

**** sleep.

Work as much as you can.

Idk how it is in other cities but in Boston it's gonna be live. I did last year on the weekend and made 942. On Sunday I did 5 hrs I made 275 + incentitive bonus.

Let's eat.

What time are you going to start tonight? I was thinking 8 or so.

Sidenote: had to get a few things from. Wally World earlier. Found all weather rubber mat set on clearance for $7. Also copped a pet cleaning kit (if it can clean up dog fecal matter/vomit, it'll probably work for.humans too). About to set up my dash cam now.

Just a thought, but I hope you got some rubber gloves too. My first vomiter I had everything to clean with, but forgot the gloves luckily my car had a pair to change the spare with...

Man I was running low in Egyptian Pounds in Cairo, and I was surprised you can use Uber there.

I took like 10 trips, great experiences.

Crazy how cheap the gas is there, I took a 90 min Uber to the airport and it was like $8, then landed in NYC took an uber home at it was $109 for a 50 min trip.

It was pretty dead out there this weekend. But last year was dead on Easter also so I’m not surprised there. Also, schools are on spring break so there’s a negative effect there as well.

Going to try and put in work this week. Anyone do it during the week like a regular job? Tips?

I do it for a few hours after I get off my 9-5. Pay attention to the heat maps because even if you don’t get to those spots that day you can plan ahead and get to those spots in the future. Also, be aware of things that are happening like concerts and sporting events. It’s baseball season so you’ll have many opportunities to pick people up from the yard. A lot of times they opt for Lyft line or Uber pool so you’re killing 2-3 birds with one stone and it’s likely the area will have a surge so you’re making a little extra :)

Got a question to those that already filed.

I drive part time driving with uber. I have a 9-5 but I drive on the weekends. I went to HR to ask the person a question cause I got my tax breakdown from uber but not a 1099 and mans was telling me the reason you didn't get a 1099 is cause I didn't earn at least 20k with uber (I made under 10k). For those who drive part time like me, what form did you use to file and write off expenses? I know I should've filed already shame on me :{

Since I moved, I've been using Uber to get around/back home plenty. Most rides have been fine, others I've dealt with bad driving, despite their high rating. If I had my car by my apartment (it's back by my parents), I would really consider driving late night/weekends.

Uber coming clutch tho sending me the locked-in fare pricing from one destination to the other because I've been going often back home. $9.99 flat fee for a 30-45 min ride.

Probably going to head out around noon or 1. Rainy day here in MD so we'll see.

Not sure what market your in, or if they're even offering yet, but read Lyft is going to start offering a monthly subscription service. It sounds pretty good if you use rideshare frequently. I'm sure Uber will follow too, if it works out for Lyft.
