The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

For that battle, i didn't use a single snap pea. When the ghosts are summoned, just run around until the ghosts disappear then resume fighting her. Also helps to hide behind a pillar when they do disappear and the butterflies come at you. Alternatively just parry rapidly when the butterflies attack.

Also (I didn't use this strategy but watched some folks and it seems to work) when she jumps in the air tight rope style, if you can get beneath her and throw a few shurikens at her it causes her to fall and get stunned, leaving her for an opening.

i used both of these tactics and they work absurdly well.

also she is extremely weak to the slash u can do right after dodging horizontally with the circle button

also keep in mind that if u kill the illusions she summons u get ammo for your prosthetic attachments (one per illusion, they die with one hit)

i read that theres a boss later in the game that is weak to snap peas and to save them for that

sunken valley seems to be a good place to farm them

i was there tonight and picked up 5-6 w/ demon bell equipped in like 30 mins.

speaking of shotgunning beers i needed a couple after this  awesome fight tho

sekiro def has areas/bosses that seem nigh impossible due to unfamiliarity w/ the level, using the wrong tactics/gear or when the player's being stubborn/hit a wall and needs to take a break and doesn't but imo it always feels fair for the most part

nioh on the other hand

i love that game and shouts to everybody that has completed WotN/theabyss but once i beat that dlc i dipped and never looked back

sekiro is fire tho i am constantly being surprised in the best way was going thru sunken valley/mount kongo today w/ a big stupid smile on my face

Once you figure it out it is almost (dare I say) easy.

But yeah when you go to a new area you don’t have a clue what is about to happen and it comes across as insurmountable.

yeah phase 1/most of phase 2 is a joke if u stick close to him so he cant use arrows and are persistent w/ breaking his posture

once u learn his moveset ur golden

i gotta say the mikiri counter is one of the most useful/f***** badass skills ive ever seen in a videogame

i was reticent to use it at first b/c it seems so risky when ur learning it but that thing is a gamechanger
stay lurkin stay lurkin

Who's picking up days gone?

I'll pick it probably around Black Friday, along with Madden, NBA 2K and The Show.

Don't see myself getting any new games for a while.

It's busy season right now and my workload is crazy.

Don't have time for much else right now.

quit your job gaming>jobs

The Show is probably the only sports game I’ll pay retail for. The season is already over by the time Black Friday rolls around lol.

More Sekiro stuff...

Genichiro battle took me a minute. It’s funny how you can think something is difficult until you realize there is something more difficult afterwards...I spent like an hour just trying to get the first two death blows...then once I realized I had to defeat dude in transformed lightning form, I was blowing through those first two death blows easily...like no hits taken

Re: sunken valley...I love that they made a mini-boss that’s entirely about parrying

One thing I’m learning though is you have to keep up your offense...it’s not all about bait-and-parry. You have to keep pressure up to whittle away posture.

Been playing 2k, kinda just on a break before I start my first NG+ and it's between HZD and GOW and I've been stacking chips in HZD and decided to pop in GOW since I need to get that Mist armor and finish the trials of Muspelheim that'll give me that armor

man I suck now
Thought I could get right back into it after some warm up rounds
NOPE
was fumblin with the buttons, forgot i could use Atreus then I tried to change up my armor and got overwhelmed
decided I gotta set aside more time to get back into the routine for the grind
