The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Welp, it looks like Genichiro is going to be quite the challenge .

Stay close. Learn the pattern of his attacks. Use umbrella if you have it for arrow attacks. The last part isn’t fundamentally that much different than the beginning of the fight: still sweep and lunge perilous attacks, just longer. Still able to jump on him, or mikiri counter.

after the first two deathblows, when he goes into lightning mode... if you can manage to time it properly, jump in the air and reverse the lightning attack...it does a ton of posture damage.

EA with another lame reveal event.

You would think they learned from the BF V reveal, but nope. Still with the boring *** interviews about the game before showing any footage.

Edit: Ok, looks like i missed the cg trailer. Still just the absolute wrong way to go about revealing a game.

Is this for Jedi Fallen Order? Once I read it was SP with no MTX, I was on board. I don’t even care to see much of it. Respawn good in my book.

I’ve only watched one Star Wars in its entirety. I went on date as a teenager and was looking for the longest movie :lol

Just another generic white looking protagonist Jedi. Why don’t they use one of the other Star Wars races/species?

They got a thread on ResetERA about this :lol

Tbh, I never really cared about stuff like this. I always felt the director should go with their vision. But at the same time, it would be cool to get a JRPG with a black dude :hat

I honestly think it's less about the race and more about species...Togruta, Wookie, Rhodian, Twi'lek, Chiss, Sullustan, etc. Why is every impactful story based on a human character? I get it for movies, because its directors want audiences to be able to relate, to see themselves as the hero, but they could branch out for games.

I’m not to familiar with SW lore and their races but I see what you mean.

Every time I think Sekiro can't get any more ridiculous...

I thought Guardian Ape was bad....but Headless Ape....

So insane that they bought in a second Giant Ape for you to fight at the same time.

Yeah like I'd be happy if there was a black male or female but let's have a Twi'lek or whatever other force sensitive species they have.

Studios try saying it’s a safe financial move to make the character more relatable to a broader audience, because middle America will apparently reject a person of color/woman.

But pieces of media like HZD and Black Panther show that excuse isn’t just bs, but that in 2019 audiences can actually be intrigued by protagonists not conforming to the same generic mold.

Don’t know how I slipped up and forgot their latest theatrical reboot’s protagonist is a female and they seem to be doing just fine with that. I personally don’t view it as a “negative” that it’s a white dude. But it is a missed opportunity to make somewhat of a bold statement to have for the first time a black protagonist in Star Wars.

Was given a rough lesson in deflecting today by
Seven Ashina Spears and Ashina Elite Jinzuke Saze in the dojo

It was my most thorough “this ain’t bloodborne” wake up. I always go a few days without playing and lose the deflecting part of my game. I think after those two I won’t be forgetting, it’ll be a go-to move now

^ All I remember about ol’ boy in the dojo is that I was getting really angry at the reach on his attacks.
