I found God of War difficult, I don't think I'm cut out for Sekiro

was literally about to type this

I feel like the rigor is what makes the games great and enjoyable in a semi-masochistic way. To all those saying, it’s not for them, I promise if you finish a From software game, you’ll never look at other games the same.

I still enjoy games like uncharted, far cry, god of war...but to a certain extent I feel like I’m a spectator... there’s never any doubt that I’ll finish those games. With From’s games, there is always the possibility that they craft something so devious that I just hit an insurmountable wall.

I enjoy that uncertainty. It makes progressing through the game it’s own journey.

How often will I want to throw my controller while playing?

I’ve never played Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, or Bloodborne.

But I was always wary of the difficulty in these types of games.

I tried Sekiro a few nights ago and got hooked.

Yeah it’s challenging as hell, but patience and recognizing patterns really is key.

It feels like you’ve actually accomplished something after defeating bosses/mini-bosses.

If you’re thinking about trying sekiro but haven’t played bloodborne yet I strongly advise to play bb first. Same devs, better game, a bit less difficult, and much cheaper

Wait for sekiro to go on sale if you’re on the fence

I think Bloodborne is PS4’s best exclusive and my favorite game on any platform this generation.

That said, I feel like it’s gonna be hard to go back to being planted on the ground after playing Sekiro and being able to move vertically. Sort of like it was hard to get adjusted to the slower pace of Datk Souls 3 after enjoying Bloodborne’s speed.

I feel like there was a lot of negative press early on in the development cycle for Days Gone, but I’m still optimistic about that game.

It’s not a day 1 purchase for me, but I’m definitely getting it (unless reviews straight trash it)

Sekiro only makes me want to replay Bloodborne. I need a day where I can put all my focus on Sekiro for a couple of hours. It’s not a game that I can mess around with for an hour and do anything meaningful. I played last weekend and didn’t get to play all week. Now I’m terrified because I don’t remember any of the controls

Yeah I have like 210 hours in it. Platinum and all that and still not even really that close to being able to do the true end game

I love a good challenge but if I have to play a game for more than 200 hours and still not be close to true ending...

I got the true ending on normal mode but the challenge is to do it on Way of The NIOH. Get the crazy armor and builds. And then the Abyss. That is an entire different thing.

We could run through the game together and I think you’d like it. It really is a fantastic game. You still get that accomplished feeling on the first difficulty

Finally got one of the endings in Sekiro (shortest one), made a backup save on USB to re-upload, now going to try for the longer endings. Story is A1
