The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

COD's an amusement park that I don't mind visiting yearly.

Jon Snow?!?!

Decided to trade in my PS4  for the Pro. Might as well since I just got a 4k TV.

Thanks for this info, i remember trying to figure it out myself and failing.

I think i'm gonna go all in on a computer after the next generation. May as well with the way things are going in the gaming world. Guess we will see.

Here is actually what i just purchased last night for a new PC rig (upgrading and starting almost fresh from a 2013 built)

This can do 4k (probably not at the highest graphic output for >60FPS) just fine.

however I have an ultra wide 1440p monitor. No current plans to upgrade to a 4k display for what i do.

Yet :evil

I don't even have my ps4 yet, but i don't think people will look back fondly on this generation cycle unless VR flips the script. Delays and remakes are what may be remembered. And Konami putting out a ******* incomplete MGS game.

To be fair i could just be an angry old man yelling at clouds

Man ya'll know the true villain won't reveal himself until about 85% completion

I think the thing I'm looking forward to the most is the post game content. Despite it's linear story, I think FF XIII had great post game content.
XIII-2 got really.... really weird.

I actually bought this just because it was from FF VI :lol

Just finished Life is Strange. I loved it. Lack of gameplay didn't bother me. It was a great story imo.

Sony is trying very hard to make gamers understand the improvements PlayStation 4 Pro will bring to the game with respect to graphics/visuals and performance. On this note, Sony at Tokyo Game Show 2016 demoed 4K/HDR enhancements for PlayStation 4 Pro. The screenshots posted below shows Final Fantasy XV, Uncharted 4, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Resident Evil 7 running on PlayStation 4 Pro with upgraded resolution and HDR feature turned ON. The TV that was used for the demo is 4K / HDR compatible TV "BRAVIA X9300D"

To tell you the truth, this is actually not the perfect indication of what PlayStation 4 Pro is capable of, but still a good indication of what developers can achieve with some extra power. The screenshots below have richer colors and sharper images.

Our friend at Game blog played Final Fantasy XV on PlayStation 4 Pro and they termed the experience as "Stunning". The publication stated that almost all aspect of Final Fantasy XV is upgraded on PS4 Pro, there is no more clipping, the FPS is steady, better vegetation, etc.

We can't see the HDR improvements on a non HDR screen but i thought the quote above is important because it shows that not only is it running at 4K, it's all seeing better improvements to the game as well, but need to clarify if ithe improvements are because of the delay or the pro. Either way it's sounding good.

Pics of the ther game at the link. They all look great.

Other PS4 pro news.
