The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I just looked at the release lineup for February 2017. Y'all do realize something is going to get delayed, right?

I'm gonna say Horizon gets delayed to May :{

It's already been delayed once.

Not again hopefully

While you have me blocked, and I disagree with 99% of the things you post, I couldn't agree more.

EA milks every other franchise they have, but we can't get a Gen 8 Skate game. :{

Wait, what, why :lol

Thanks. But looks like i will not need the monitor already have a 4k display and i figured the video card would eat up lot of the cost. i guess whenever the video cards become more affordable than i will consider the jump.

Thanks for this info, i remember trying to figure it out myself and failing.

I think i'm gonna go all in on a computer after the next generation. May as well with the way things are going in the gaming world. Guess we will see.

No idea. I did go on a run of simply replying, "Why don't you post this in your gaming thread" to most of his posts for while. For being this threads biggest troll (who has actually become a good thread contributor now) he does seem to be a touch sensitive. However, it is kind of amusing.

I've done pretty good on the FFXV blackout.

If they show PS4 pro footage though... It will be tough not to have a sneak peak.

Ben from Easy Allies says it's running well too so the delay was good.

HBO and Cinemax Coming to PS Vue, HBO NOW Launching Soon on PS4, PS3
You asked, we listened! Today, we’re pleased to announce that one of your most highly requested channels, HBO, is coming soon to PlayStation Vue. We’re also adding Cinemax to give you access to even more Hollywood hits and action-packed original series. Beyond PlayStation Vue, we’re also excited to announce HBO Now will soon launch on PS4 and PS3. If you subscribe to HBO through PlayStation Vue, you can access HBO Now on all supported devices at no extra charge.

HBO and Cinemax on PlayStation Vue, and the HBO Now app on PS4 and PS3 will launch ahead of the October 2 premiere of the highly anticipated new drama, Westworld, created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.

The launch of HBO and Cinemax on PlayStation Vue will mark the first time HBO’s live programming and Cinemax’s channel will be available directly to you as standalone channel offerings, without the need for a bundle subscription. That means through PlayStation Vue, you’ll have the option to subscribe to HBO and Cinemax as standalone channels or add them to your existing PlayStation Vue plan. Both HBO and Cinemax will be available for $15 each per month through PlayStation Vue.

We’re excited to make HBO and Cinemax a reality for our PlayStation Vue users later this month and to bring HBO Now to PS4 and PS3. We’ll have more news to share soon, so stay tuned to the blog for more information. You can also visit www.psvue.com.

Im not too worried about seeing the story content of FF XV in these trailers. We all know at about 60% through the game, something will happen to make the story incomprehensible.

I've been avoiding gameplay like the plague though. I want to go in blank, with just the demo as my experience.

Same, even though I might need to play that demo to get Carbuncle.
I can't miss out on a summon.

People who have been absorbing all the info said the story is straight forward so we'll see.

Not really sure if i can deal with another round of fal'cie and l'cie's. :lol

Man ya'll know the true villain won't reveal himself until about 85% completion :lol

I think the thing I'm looking forward to the most is the post game content. Despite it's linear story, I think FF XIII had great post game content.

According to GameSpot, TLOU Remastered will run at native 4k/30fps on Pro. Is that a game changer? I thought the Pro was only upscaling games.

It's not the only one either.

The Elder Scrolls Online Runs in Native 4K on PS4 Pro
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited doesn't look bad on PlayStation 4, but it doesn't look fantastic, either - as you'd probably expect from such a colossal MMO running on console hardware. However, developer Zenimax Online Studios has confirmed that the title will take advantage of the newly announced PlayStation 4 Pro, releasing a pretty 4K trailer as evidence.

The big news here, though, is that, according to the video's description, Tamriel Unlimited will run at native 4K on Sony's upcoming machine. That's quite the visual boost.

I won't expect big budget games like Horizon Zero Dawn to be native 4K but at the same time, PS4 Pro is no slouch.
That's why they're able to get a good image because it's not upscaling from 1080p but a much higher resolution plus the other techniques like the checkerboard rendering.
