The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

[@=/u/79112/shottadru]@shottadru[/@] I'm going to wait until I finish Final Fantasy X-2 before I buy TW3, so probably this weekend or I might just wait it out until payday. I loved BB so I doubt I'll like TW3 but from what I seen, I'm sure I'll sink in a lot of hours and have fun. My in laws came up for my wife's graduation so I been mostly playing Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow on my 3DS.
I need a new 3DS game, finished Zelda...maybe ill look into that. I might wait until it's on sale.

I have enough games to hold me over until Batman so I'm not really too pressed to cop. And I still have BB to finish, I don't play it as much but still have to get the 3rd ending and finish the dungeons. Might def hold off.
yeah I'm not in a big rush right now. If I get it soon then fine but I don't need it right now, more than enough to play. Hell street fighter drops next week and that will probably jump over TW3 if I don't already have it.

Sounds like there is an issue with the physical copies of TW3..

Many players have been getting stuck on the games initial loading screen for hours with no movement. Some have uninstalled and it worked after but some aren't able to play the game lol.

I just got my physical, I'll report back 8o

Edit: do you have any links to the issue?  I just tried to search for it but couldn't really find anything.

To each his own.  To me, it's easily physical copy >>>

I personally like having a collection of games.  I guess I'm old school but I don't think there's ever going to be a day where I prefer digital copies.  Not to mention all the extras you get with TW3 if you buy the physical game:
  • An Exclusive CD with the Official Soundtrack
  • The Official, Developer-Created "The Witcher Universe: Compendium"
  • A Beautiful, Detailed Map of the In-Game World
  • A Set of Unique Witcher III Stickers

I was big on physical and was sure I'd never go all digital but I only own 2 PS4 discs. I was big on collecting but it's not important to me anymore. I got all my OG black label FF games so I'm good. I hardly have room to store these games as is. Maybe when I buy a house and build my man cave I'll go physical again :lol

Resume/suspend is too clutch also :smokin

As of right now, physical>>>digital. Once digital games start being priced like Steam, game over.

I didn't realize the convenience of digital, until I copped a kinect.

'Xbox go to Forza Horizon 2."

I loved gow3
But ummmm where's the remastering????
Graphics look the same
Not sure if that's a testament to how good that game looked on PS3
Or how poor of a job they doing on remastering the game

^it's a cash grab.

gow 1/2 were already remastered for ps3.

This being remastered is to help gow4's development, supposedly.

I doubt we will ever get steam like prices for console games but I do think as digital starts to take over we will get cheaper games. honestly, I just want games to go back to $50 so I can get at least 2 games at an even $100.

There isn't much else Sony could do with GoW 3. That game on PS3 is still probably top 3. Only game I can think of that looks better is TLOU. Final Fantasy XIII was beautiful too.

I think the thing that jumps out right away is that it's running at a legit 60 fps.

It looks much smoother than the ps3 version.

But they're still out of their minds pricing it at $40.

I can't answer that adequately. I'm about 2.5 hours into the game.
Here's what I can say:
There's a lot of dialogue. Which can feel rewarding, if you catch certain hints.
So far, some characters like GOT don't seem as they appear. For instance, one mission seemed clear/cut, by the end...not so much.:eek
If you like the atmosphere of GOT, I believe you'll like the atmosphere of TW3. TW3 takes it further with it's fantasy elements though.
Here's a dialogue example.

I can't remember.:lol
What's your psn again?
It's difficult to remember because lots of NTers have different psn names.

gman813..

care to shareplay TW3 8o

On the debate of digital versus physical I'm going physical every time unless I can catch a megadeal on a game usually flash sales
