***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Chafee just does whatever because he just arrived. Dude is the type of guy that will join NT, make a thread with links to **** films and then tell Meth that he shouldn't be banned because he just arrived. Clown

Bernie is the most legit dude out there, the rest are losers or just pure politicians. Which is probably the main reason he won't win

Those tweets reinforce why I tell people I'd rather have Trump and Carson leading the Republican polls than Huckabee.

If that dude was leading in the polls i'd be terrified.

I will say that Hilary comes off a much more refined and presidential looking candidate this time around. She really doesn't make many mistakes anymore and works towards her strengths while keeping things vague on issues she know's she might be on the opposing side of most of the dem base. She's really gonna have to **** up real badly this time to miss out on the presidency imo.

#RunTheBern

I still need to watch the last 45 mins but Bernie killed it. Chaffee a joke. O'Malley trying to be VP hard as hell... Neither should be invited to the next debate.

That "Congress does not regulate Wall Street,Wall Street regulates Congress" line was so cold

Clinton tried to use her card and Bernie threw her card back in her face. Kept it 1000.
One of my fav moments of the debate

,glad that the debate is gonna push the MNM to cover Bern more consistently and seriously and not just as a super longshot like before.

He attacked the socialist label fear mongering head on and clearly defined his platform.

Bernie did alright and I rock with him for the most part, but all I kept thinking was that he's basically a democratic Ron Paul. He has great ideas, but he doesn't have the personality to win the masses over. Sucks that we look at politics that way, but it is what it is.

Also, he's almost too intense. I love the passion, but **** man, dial it down a few notches.

Bernie should've mentioned Germany with the free health care and education. Germany has 80 million people.

Hillary and Bernie stayed the same to me.

O'Malley probably gained a point or two. He's clearly running for VP. Also I couldn't get over how smug he was with every answer.

Webb did nothing to help himself and Chaffe is an idiot.

Bernie would likely do better in a one-on-one where he can be slightly more emotional and time isn't being stepped on left and right.

The next debate should just be O'Malley, Sanders and Clinton

Webb just came wit struggle answers, and Chappie might as well be a robot cause famb didn't even seem human.

I feel bad for Bernie mentioning Denmark and stuff. Not that I disagree with him because I believe if we can learn from other countries we can and should. But there are some people in this country who will be like "Denmark?! this is America we are the greatest country on earth! What can we learn from Denmakr?!" Dudes almost to honest for this.
As someone who is living in Denmark, sadly I don't think Bernie is aware how much Denmark is moving in the direction of becoming like the US these days, not the other way around. With that said, Denmark/Scandinavia in the 1990s probably had the best way of life in the history of earth. It was very much a capitalist society, but with a strong social welfare that took care of the weak. These days, with foreigners (mainly Muslims) having been successfully marketed as the boogie man by right wing parties, people here in Denmark have started voting for those parties and in the process abandoned the paradise on earth welfare system that the rest of the world envied them for.

I was laughing my *** off when i heard denmark. They have 5 and a half million people. He can't even say he is a capitalist. I really think the average person would be turned off.

Bernie doesn't go nearly hard enough at Hillary to ever win. That high road mantra will not work. He should be happy he moved clinton further to the left. That's as good as he is gonna do.

I said the same thing, don't see why Chaffe and Webb were even there. Just taking time away from Bernie and Hillary.

After last night, I feel both Hillary and Bernie move up a little, though they are the front runners already.

Cats scream Capitalism is good but it has an icky side just like any other socioeconomic platform. It's almost like u can't be against a select few winning all the time while the rest suffer without being labeled a Socialist

He could have easily said "of course i'm a capitalist BUT..." then spoke about the need for regulation and changes. He didn't go that route.

As far as being labeled a socialist. He clearly feels like he is one.

Why do yall say O'Malley is running for VP? ...because he doesnt have a chance to win?
Webb and Chaffee can go ahead and bow out now.

Both Hillary and Bernie did well out there.
I personally lean more towards Bernie, but i think Hillary likely 'won' the debate last night.

If the whole capitalism vs socialism thing is going to get spins, then I think it's time to really look at the pros and cons of each. On the surface w/ Capitalism, private owners control trade and industry and in Socialism, the government does.

Greed is going to play a factor no matter which economic and political system you use, which will be a major factor
