To all posters, I’m curious about you guys’ early predictions on who will be the Democratic nominee. Also, does your prediction line up with your preferred choice?

I feel pretty confident that Bernie will win the nomination.

i think Bernie will win at this point. Especially if Nevada goes how some of us feel it well. Warren was my preferred candidate

So long as we have foreign interests and actors influencing the election, or worse, it doesn't matter. Theres only a handful of counties and states that matter come election day, and the GOP + Friends will be doing everything possible to ensure those electorate votes go their way. Legally or not. I'm not confident the US justice system is set up and controlled in a way that ensures the election will be a fair one. So until I'm shocked and surprised by a Trump loss, I fully expect us to put up with another 4 years of Donny G before his lineage starts their runs and wins at the Presidency.

To answer your question - Bernie. Which I'm okay with even if he's not my preferred choice.

i'm same as Armada Armada
it's looking like bernie will win the primary and i'm fine with that. i hope he picks abrams or warren as his vp. i think warren would make the best president and she'd get my vote all day but i don't think she would beat trump in a general election. everyone knows how rabid his base is but i think people underestimate how powerful the anonymity of the voting booth is. it's been surprising to find out who supports trump in my workplace.

Still thing it'll be Biden. My preferred candidate is Elizabeth Warren

I think, I would prefer Warren, but Sanders has momentum.

But I would really like to see some serious future proofing in the DNC, so we don't have to rely on senior citizens.

Sanders > Warren > Biden > Trump > Bloomberg > Klobuchar > Buttigieg

I really thought Biden was gonna cruise early but I think Bernie's trajectory gives him the nom. Which is 100% cool with me, even though I preferred Liz

Sanders > Warren > Biden > Trump > Bloomberg > Klobuchar > Buttigieg
What makes you feel Amy and Pocket Change are the worst?

Bern looks to be in the drivers seat and unless he has some sort of major gaffe or other health scare, think he'll be in real good position to win the nom after Super Tuesday

My preferences this time around would probably be:

Bern > Liz >>>> Joe > Pete > Elena >>> Bloomberg

Liz would've probably be my #1 at the start of the campaign

Definitely Bernie for the nomination. I think he’ll have a comfortable lead by the end of Super Tuesday (well, including California which will take a few weeks to count).

Preferred candidate was Warren, but Bernie is my 1A choice.

I’m actually optimistic about the general election. I think Bernie or Warren could turnout a younger electorate that would push them over the edge. I thoroughly believe Biden, and especially Doomberg, would get washed.

I think Bernie has a pretty strong chance. Warren was my top pick with Bernie behind her.

Yea I think running any progressive candidate against the current joke in power would win a general tbh given that it'd energize the segments of the base that have been dormant in GE's since Obama was running and in power and would provide an attractive alternative for independents

Think running a moderate against tiny hands in the current climate is a recipe for an electoral college landslide

Bernie is winning because his base is holding firm, he is getting most of the progressive vote, he is a favorite among regressive whites, while everyone else is splitting the vote. No one else has a winning coalition but him at his point.

It is exactly how he hoped it would go. For all the warnings of the establishment trying to stop Bernie, there was no consensus pick on an alternative to him. There was no one as strong as '00 Gore or '16 Clinton, or even '04 Kerry. And no one had the talent to pull ahead of the pack like Beezy in 08. Everyone got some interest, so not one consolidated support. It was clear that many in the party didn't want Biden. Bloomberg coming in probably was the final death blow to Joe.

Warren's self sabotage helped Sanders a lot too.

BTW, Pete is a clear #3, and there is some daylight between him and the #4 and #5. I really don't like his scamming talking points but he has on of the most important messages in the primary. No large scale change is gonna take place or hold, if we do not repair our institutions and reform our Democratic system.
