I wish people like this person and Kate Jenner would have the freedom to be whoever they want to be but then not turnaround and support policies against people that are like themselves. On one hand the US federal government is really impressive, and there are localities that tap into that to their benefit, on the other hand they are kept at arm’s length because people rather suffer if they can keep their traditions of racism, sexism, and homophobia alive. On a third hand are places that would probably tap into those resources but are kept in neglect on a state level to maintain that same status quo or racism, sexism, and homophobia.
Basically state rights isn’t just overrated, in many cases it’s harmful

Sounds like my brother in law - he’s been fired 3 times over the years for sexual harassment - but his excuse is always that he was just being friendly and it was taken the wrong way.
It’s just funny how it’s always the young girls that he’s friendly with…
