Sonics already have three first-round picks over the next two drafts thanks to all their Kurt Thomas dealings. Now they'll have a handful of expiringcontracts to open up a ton of cap space this summer.

Not official yet, still has to go through the leagues approval

blood clot, The cavs are robbing chicago and seattle in this deal

have you seen Ben Wallace play lately or the ungodly amount of money he is making?????

I'm liking the moves for the Cavs.

Sonics too, getting a bunch of expiring contracts.

I think he'll play inspired basketball now that he will be on a team that is a championship contender.

Sonics are in GREAT shape now... Bunch of first rounders, Wally's contract off earlier than expected... Pretty decent deadline for the Sonics lookingforward.

I really don't see how this deal is one that will alter the East from the Cavs perspective, but maybe I'm wrong. Seems like they threw away all theirtradable assets (their expirings/Gooden's deal for next year) for Ben Wallace, and flipped Hughes for a guy that isn't even an upgrade in Szcerbiak...I really think they jumped the gun here a bit. The Gooden/Marshall expirings could have netted more than this in the offseason, couldn't it? They'restill probably at best the 3rd team out East...

Now that I think about it, I guess Sczerbiak is essentially the same expiring they'd be looking at with Gooden/Marshall... I guess swapping Wallace forHughes is essentially a wash, and Sczerbiak will likely be flipped in the offseason if something comes available?

All I can say is wow.

damn it! Hughes was playing well for my fantasy...now his playing time will be limited!

What the hell 20 minutes ago ric Bucher had West going to Denver. Oh Well should of none not to trust him.

if joe smith is included in the deal, then its a great deal for the cavs...plus they got delonte west when they desperately needed a PG

Not happening. Joe Smith is actually playing well for us and isn't making all that much money. I think Chris is unrestricted FA this off season

Cavs came out decent in this trade. I agree that Wallace will probably play inspired basketball now that he is on a contender.

we'll see how this works. cavs fans will love delonte, and probly hate wally. the cavs got better defensively though with big ben, which is scary to thinkabout.
