Official NBA Trade Deadline Thread PAGE 1 UPDATES IF YOU MISSED ANYTHING

His contract is up after next season. He'll be 35, and he isn't part of our long term plans. I dont think BC will give a 35 year old a long term extension especially when we'll have some decent cap room next summer.

To put it bluntly, Parker is replaceable.

34 actually but i dont think his overall market value will be that high, possibly because of lack pf exposure and how he shows up on the stat sheet.

there wont be a lot of teams willing to offer a long term to him.

raps could possible still snag him for a deal.
Spurs just acquired Kurt Thomas

nice move by the spurs.

new word is Chris Wilcox could be headed to Orlando

He seems to be the most popular name in the chat today ... a little 6 foot point guard from Villanova -- averaging 8.5 ppg, 3.6 apg and shooting 39 percent from the field and 25 percent from three. I love Lowry because of his energy and toughness ... but don't you think this is a little ridiculous? If Chris Wallace doesn't trade this guy now ... when his trade value is 10 times higher than his actual production ... he's nuts.

If paxson doesnt move wallace (which we already know the answer to that) he should fasten lead weights to his feet and throw himself in the chicago river...

Brent Barry is back in Seattle!

Next up: finding where Shawn Kemp is at and offering him a 10-day contract. I'm sure they could land him for a double whopper value meal, half case ofPabst, and an 8-ball of blow.

I'm a Warriors fan until Boom Dizzle gets an all-star nod. They've embraced me with open arms.

Damn spurs...

Always making the right moves. This is a damn good pick up for them.

Plus his deal is gone after this season. Spurs making another smart move.

Nice pick up by the Spurs, Thomas is a solid defender, they dont need him to score any points for them,. Dude should just save his energy and not run pastmidcourt when the Spurs are on offense.

Hornets looking to grab Bonzi and James from the Rockets, it'll be interesting to see who they have to give up

"Sources have told ESPN.com that the Hornets and Houston Rockets were in serious discussions Wednesday night on a multi-player deal that would send MikeJames and Bonzi Wells to New Orleans for Bobby Jackson and one or two other players."

No thank you.

Word out of Cleveland is that there are talks of a blockbuster, and it doesn't involve Mike Miller.

The only reason I see the point of this deal is to unload Mike James's contract to the Hornets. I think Jackson's contract ends a year beforeJames's contract.

The reason the Hornets do it is to get Bonzi's expiring contract that's up after this season. Basically rent him for half a season.

Or this could be a sign of bigger things to come.

There was rumors that Artest to Houston was a possibility, and that the Kings wanted Aaron Brooks included in the deal.

The problem with that though is the Rockets don't have a backup PG really. Francis is RIP, and James doesn't even play.

So maybe the Rockets take on Jackson to be the backup PG, give the Kings what they want in Brooks, and we get Artest.

That's my hope anyway.

As is, I'd rather have Bonzi than Jackson.

Ew. please don't do this NO.

Well, the rich get richer with Kurt Thomas. Good trade for the Sonics, but the Spurs improve with Kurt Thomas, with Brent Barry being old, and Elson notgetting as much burn anymore.

At the core of it all, it's trash for trash. Bonzi + James for Jackson + ____

But the thing is for the Hornets, I think Bonzi isn't too bad a pickup. More size come playoff time, and at the very worst, you let him walk after thisseason and clear up cap room.

This dude Bobby Jackson is up there in age.
