Listening this weekend and POA became so much better to me once I remembered people get a power of attorney when they need somebody to manage their assets and affairs because they mentally can't handle it.

It ain't the deepest thing in the world but it's great to me

Said he only liked one song on it when it dropped Friday.

These two albums are bad. Or below average, at best.

None of it is on par with DS2. His last four projects have been disappointing for someone so highly regarded.

These projects aren't creative nor are they anything special, IMO. Future is better than HNDRXX though, there is at least some stuff on there I can enjoy like Mask Off and Super Trapper. HNDRXX is so wack.

You gotta be one of the most critical posters in this entire music section lol. Take that as a compliment tho. Because of that im kinda curious as to what you listen to

The stuff I've enjoyed on my phone lately has been the latest records from Sampha, Run the Jewels, Frank Ocean, Solange, Bon Iver, 21 Savage, Kamaiyah, Beyonce, Kanye (although I have a lot of thoughts on TLOP), Vince Staples, Noname, Tribe Called Quest, Childish Gambino, Danny Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Tame Impala

These Future releases are just so lazy and weak. After 56 Nights, Monster and DS2, Future has just been mailing it in. There's been almost zero good progression or gutsy moves (don't tell me autotune singing is gutsy...).

We know Nayvadius for his tales from the trap and miserable descriptions of the depths of addiction. That's what made DS2 grimy and atmospheric. HNDRXX is an off-tune Ty Dolla Sign attempt over beats that Metro made in like 20 minutes, and the lyrics are almost nothing. Future self-titled is ok, like a 5 or 6, but does it not sound like a rehash of his last few releases? He's predictable and boring at this point.

Making the same kind of music over and over is ok when you F'n kill it every time. Run The Jewels has a similar sound for all 3 EPs, but they have such clear passion, drive and energy.

I don't expect Future to progress like Kendrick, but it's a complete mistake for him to be putting out diluted releases this quickly (I understand there is something going on with a former manager where he may be trying to get out of a contract... that I could understand). If he combined the best tracks from EVOL, Purple Reign and self-titled he would have an undeniably better body of work. Instead we've got just piles and piles of generic trap rap. And as far as HNDRXX, he's nowhere near a good enough musician to be doing that kind of thing. He's a rapper who is good at what he does -- when he tries.

Bruh aint no way someone perceiving Future's music the past 18 months as "lazy and weak" but they're feeling Ty $, and I like dude.

Also, Massage in My Room & Flip sound better than they did before.

The only track I'm not completely in love with at this point is When I Was Broke.
