no one should have a billion dollars. no, not him either.

You did not come up with the idea that everyone earning the same income stifles innovation. This wasn’t your “genuine thought”.

You are confusing yourself at this point because you’re literally just spewing talking points you heard from someone else

 are u a robot or something b?

im TELLING you i learned about da follies of communism and socialism in middle school, as it happened in real time.

Hell Street Fighter II came out in 1991, and by Street Fighter Alpha, Zangeif went from "USSR!" to "Russia!"..

its no coincidence every poll you find about communism and socialism da demographic that holds most negative feelings about it are segments that skews older, because they are old enough to remember when socialism/ communism fails.

i saw da Berlin wall fall on ABC news in 1991, i OWN a pair of original Cazal sunglasses i paid a small fortune on that still say "made in West Germany"..

that commie BS died and i was well informed on why.

Right, you learned about it elsewhere. What you said wasn’t your own “genuine thought”. Thanks for admitting that.

LOL.

I don't have to look too far to see just how well capitalism is killing untold millions of folks. I turn on the news and watch the aftermath of bombings by US forces in some country most people can't pronounce. I turn on the news and read/watch/listen to stories of famines caused by unbridled capitalist market forces.

Defending the current version of capitalism by bringing up communism while forgetting about the socialist policies that are successfully implemented today in stable countries is pure BS.

Capitalism, it's the best we got.

It's also lifted +1Billion people out of poverty. Not all bad.

Note that I am talking about a specific kind of capitalism (laissez-faire).

If we were to add up all the deaths from corporate decisions sacrificing safety for greed and from government decisions based on the market (that is, the capital class) knowing what's best, are you confident that we wouldn't reach hundreds of millions of deaths?

Having only read the OP, my main issue is that when Fiat money is being discussed a billion today can be worth less than a loaf of bread tomorrow. Weimar Germany, Zimbabwe, and Venezuela are examples of that.

I mainly gripe with the idea that people are allowed to be destitute in any first world society. Sweden has one of the highest amounts of billionaires as a percentage of population but they still have significant social mobility and a generous yet sustainable system to ensure a suitable floor those who've fallen on hard times. It's not a question of ability or funding but of cultural values.

Right, you learned about it elsewhere. What you said wasn’t your own “genuine thought”.

learned elsewhere ≠ being a witness to it as it happened.

you ain't gotta put your hand on a stove to see if it'll burn you if you see da next nimrod do it...da United States seen USSR and East Germany put their hands on da stove...we good on this side.

You're like everyone else I've ever met that talks about the virtues of hard work. You all just piggy back on the work of others. Keep reciting what you heard and claiming it as your own "genuine thought". Maybe that ******** will eventually work on someone.

clearly you're conflating how human history is learned upon and grown from experience with "piggybacking off others"

yeah....nah b, not going for it.

Sweden is homogenous and essentially racist and xenophobic. Pretty easy to have a generous system when your taxes benefit your 3rd cousin that looks like you.

lol "genuine thought".

I don't who you're trying to convince, but it definitely sounds like yourself.

those assessments are "googleble" because they're a known ending to what happens when socialism dies...its called a post-mortem.

you gotta build walls to keep people in socialist societies otherwise they'll flee for more "opportunity" i.e. capitalism.

This is like that time when you couldn't acknowledge that you didn't know the difference between energy efficiency and energy density. Instead of admitting you're wrong, you just double down.

Quit the ********.

wrong about what?

socialism/communism is bad, da end.
So when are you moving to a place that charges rent according to the NYC housing market?

The staunchest defenders of capitalism that I know somehow always find a way to take advantage of socialistic policies (rent control or food stamps) instead of getting their Atlas Shrugged on.

Bunch of Creflo Dollars out there, preaching a gospel they don't practice.

"The curse of poverty has no justification in our age. It is socially as cruel and blind as the practice of cannibalism at the dawn of civilization, when men ate each other because they had not yet learned to take food from the soil or to consume the abundant animal life around them. The time has come for us to civilize ourselves by the total, direct and immediate abolition of poverty."

-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I've never met a communist/socialist who had money, or one who was happy with their existence.

(I Don't count those celebrities some of you worship, they wouldn't give up their fortunes for socialism. They're all talk.)
