Monte Kiffin is a TERRIBLE hire by the Cowboys. I guess they just wanted a guy easy to cut ties with next offseason when the head coach and the rest of the staff is replaced.

Ware played DE at Troy so its not a big deal.

Supposedly Rob Ryan stopped showing up for defensive "meetings" for the past 3 months that even rubbed Jerome Henderon, his good buddy from Cleveland that Rob brought to Dallas this year, the wrong way. Also reports coming out that Rob wasn't really behind the "meat and potatoes" of the defense to begin with. Last report I've heard is that despite the injuries, Rob is supposed to specialize in coverage sacks and turn overs, none of which were accomplished his two years here.

Again I'm not saying the Rob firing wasn't necessarily justified. My problem is that he's only had the defense for two years and one of those years was during a lockout. Garrett has had the offense since 2007 and after Sporano left, hasn't done squat. Ray Lewis very openly expressed how easy it was to read our offense pre-lineup. If you fire Rob, Garrett deserves to go as well at least offensively.

We better be bringing in an OC.

Yknow, people were so defensive about the Rob Ryan firing being a bad move, but the more I hear the more it makes sense. This guy has never had a team in the top HALF of defenses. Cleveland, Oakland, Dallas, all terrible, bottom-half of the league defenses. Sure they haven't been the most talent squads, but at what point do you stop making excuses?

Denver is gonna run, run, run and Peyton will expose the secondary when they can't stop it

I expect a blow out, the Ravens didn't exactly blow the doors off the Colts who were easily the worst team in the playoffs

While I agree about what your saying, you need talent though.

You can only scheme so much without having the play makers on the field.

This Dallas defense was riddled by injuries, had no pass rushing outside of ware who's also been hurt, lost there second best player in Lee also a ILB who's vital to the 3-4 a rookie starting at CB and horrible safety play.

And guess what? They were still in it in that last game of the season to get into the playoffs, and who cost them the game? Even after the defense had some stops, Tony Romo.

Was the defense amazing this year? No, but given the circumstance they had chances.

Not disagreeing with you, but I do think a coach has to show he can succeed with what he has, and 3 is a lot of chances. If he's really going St. Louis I guess he'll have no more excuses left, because thy definitely have talent and were strong defensively this year.

I'm hype for all 4 of these, but I think the one I can't wait to see most is the Seahawks-Falcons. I wanna see Julio and Roddy White get ******g smashed by that secondary. Matt Ryan eating turf all day would make me happy too.

I guess my reason has less to do with Rob Ryan and more about the entire coaching staff. Even if Rob wasn't a good coach. It just seems odd that Jerry would only fire him, like that'll solve the undisciplined or bad time management of the offense. Just seemed like he was used as a scapegoat for that team when I think most that whole coaching staff probably could've been dumped.

The dischord that Rob seemed to have caused with what MPire posted a ridiculous from a coach though. Maybe...Just maybe now that they have Monte knowing his role then their won't be that disconnect and with everyone buying in, we'll see more wins...I guess.

Cowboys team needs a new HC and OC.

Regardless defensively what they put in place the decision making and calling play for the offense is :x at times.

Rob to st Louis is def interesting and if he can't get it done there, I agree with you it's all on him.

That NFC west is going to be :hat :eek for the new few years.

2 Super Bowl contenders in Seattle and SF, a up and coming and dangerous STL team and if Arizona could ever get it going offensively they get some talent on both sides of the ball.

I expect 4 good games this week :hat

Peyton 43 votes to Aaron Rodgers 4 and Tom Brady 3?

LOL.

I guess we got no chance today against a defense with 8 All-pro's.........

Jesus at the slurpage of #18, where's Chester to make sense of this?

And Alfred Morris and Charles over foster? :lol

How exactly does everyone know Rob Ryan wasn't the problem? He sucked.
he did the best at what he had to work with. and i think the bigger picture for most cowboy fans is you fire him but keep jason as the HC.

does anyone know when the NFL will hear the cowboys and ******** appeal to get there cap space back?

Some one didn't vote for Calvin Johnson as an all pro. Someone really thought there was two WRs better than him. Lol

The All-Pro voting shows basically what the MVP voting will be like. Peyton is going to win in a landslide most likely. I have much respect for what he did this year but Aaron Rodgers was the best QB in football.

AP should be the MVP...

Chester you know I like Peyton... But 43 votes to 7 combined to Brady and Rodgers?

Wait, Rodgers got 4 votes?

LOL.

Most likely a Packers fan voting for Greg Jennings.

Didnt we already discuss this? Go back to being wrong and silent.

Someone voting for Jennings sounds about as stupid as someone saying Calvin Johnson should be 3rd in MVP voting.
