damn, thats enough for a max contract offer if we amnestied Salmons
Cap is estimated at around $58.5M. Kings will have approximately $12.8M to spend and the option to amnesty Salmons' $7.6M.

Bold move by D'Alessandro and his group letting Evans go. If deal for Vasquez goes through, Kings will sit at $45.7M in salaries.

If I were the kings, I'd wait another year and hope that the team somewhat improves this season. You don't want to throw a max deal, just to do it. Especially if your team isn't close to the playoffs, and this player won't put you there.

I like we're trying to get something out of Tyreke instead of letting him walk. Tyreke isn't worth what he's asking. I actually think he's overrated by a lot of Kings fans.

I keep going back to this. I guess we need to stop saying "are we getting equal back?". If we had decided to let him walk and we can get anything back that is cheap and can help the team it is a win I guess. Just hoping for a 2nd rounder or two from Portland. They can't trade their 1st rounder apparently.

If Portland does get involved I'm almost expecting a 2nd rounder and Joel Freeland. I say Freeland because I pray it's not Meyers Leonard.

ESPN saying we get two 2nd rounds picks. Kinda meh, but if you consider the other option that the FO was comfortable with was just letting Tyreke walk, then getting Vasquez and two 2nd round picks is better than nothing.

We now have:

1) Tons of money to spend. Something like 20 million if we amnesty Salmons.

2) 2nd round picks that can be traded. Very often the better teams want out of the first round and swap for 2nd rounders.

I really want a player from next years lottery and we could potentially lose that pick to the luck-bucket Cavs if we were better so I guess for now it is OK. Now to wait and see if we spend any of that money. Dear god we need a SF of some sort!

Lets see how serious the Warriors are about pursuing Dwight Howard.

They need to dump Bogut, Richardson, Biedrins (all 3 are expiring contracts) in order to have the cap space to sign him outright.

Yall would be cool with a year of 1 or 2 of them if it meant we'd also get Klay Thompson or Barnes right?

wait wait. how are yall getting da idea kings can get barnes.
I get da idea that nobody wants Jefferson or Biedrins, so if yall want to sign Dwight out right then yall need to dump the salaries of Bogut/Jefferson/Biedrins.

Its just a day dreaming idea.

Not at all saying da idea has any legs or truth or even possibility to it.

true, I wish I could dream even bigger.... like signing Dwight

I think also that is the talk in general. Warriors want to give up the big contract with a 1st round pick. Lakers are wanting one of Barnes/Curry/Klay with the big contracts. I would think the Kings could maybe jump in there with a better deal, but that would probably mean taking just a 1st round pick. Still, that wouldn't be all bad.

The thing I wonder.... why is GS trying to hard to make this room? Did Dwight tell them his is signing secretly? Very interesting. Besides.... Kings have gone stagnant lately after the Vasquez news. Hoping for something big on the way though....
