Leaked audio of Donald Sterling telling his girlfriend "Don't bring black people to my games"

Clippers statement: "We wholeheartedly support and embrace the decision by the NBA and Adam Silver today. Now the healing process begins.”

I like to see things how they are.

I believe the truth is always more boring than fiction.

I don't believe in illuminati, secret societies, or any of that nonsense.

But...

You gotta be a moron if you don't see the power play Magic and his group just played if they wind up buying the team.

Kudos to them.

What if they boycotted and it was determined his voice was altered on the records?

Exactly. I'm pretty sure Silver talked to the players before the game and gave them an idea of what was to come if the voice on the recordings was Sterling. There's no was the organization was left out in the blue.

I saw this as a perfect time for black player to stand up, band together and get things popping. To display to the younger generation that this is how things are done as a community.

I guess I dream too big.

What the commissioner did IMO is a handout to shut everyone up. Which has been done thoughout history (if you know your history). Black people were the most affected by what he said yet had no hand in dealing with the issues outcome. If all the players staged a walkout. The commissioner would have asked the players to come back. That would have been very symbolic. Then again, Just a dream of mine.
Cats killing each other in Chiraq right now over petty things and you in here salty about what a senile, racist, old hag has to say. :{

We're not talking about Chiraq. Stay on topic and follow what I'm saying.

All change in history was cause by a single event, thought, action that rallied the people for change for whatever reason.

We could have used this as one of those events. You have to understand that the world was waiting to see what happens next.

If we came together got things popping and let them know that we are about that life than maybe that sends a message to the people in similar situations to do the same.

I can go on and on but you guys are happy with the current result. I'm done. If you see my past post and not understand what I'm saying than IMO you're lost.

Adam Silver just nuked Sterling. There isn't anything more that he could have done. Well done!!

As SOLELY a NBA fan, I don't see how anyone can be upset at the ruling.
Concur.

That was really strong of Silver without overstepping anything.

If there was a way to stop Sterling from making money off the sale of the team, though, that would be the only thing that can really hurt him.

like I said earlier he bought team for 15 mil. 15 million with an M. gonna sell it for close to a billion.

Yea that's what I'm saying.

He's still gonna make an insane profit and nothing's stopping that as of now.

Stern wiped sweat off his head "Glad I didn't have to do that" :lol

Good start Silver, I dont see how anyone could feel bad about that ruling. I dont see what other thing could have be done in order to shift the talk and climate from bigotry to the actual on court play.

WOJ - On ownership super majority needed to vote Sterling out, one Board of Governor tells Yahoo: "Adam has the votes - all of them, I believe."

I don't see what the NBA can do about that though. He bought the team with his own money as an investment. You can't force him to sell and then not allow him to collect his money.

People talking about "hurting" Sterling miss the point.

The actions taken are not intended to hurt anybody, but to save the integrity of the NBA as an organization and stand up for the dignity of all its employees regardless of race / religion / sexual orientation.

Silver handled it well, and set a precedent for the future, a future of zero-tolerance for bigotry.

Whether or not it "hurts" Sterling is a non-issue.

I am sure all the owners will vote for him to sell. Think about it, no player is going to play for an owner who voted him to keep the team.
