Game of Thrones prequel series: House of the Dragon

God Damn, Vaghar Big AF.
He was not near that big or ugly when Aemond first claimed him.

Seemed even smaller when Laena offed herself. Guess it's oversight/continuity or maybe budget thing.

It makes sense for younger dragons to get outta pocket like Dany's....Vagar is like 150 years old.

When Laena died and Aemond claimed her dragon wasn’t that at the least 10 years ago?

Maybe some of these dragons just keep growing.

Or Luke’s dragon was that small?

How they gonna compete with Vhagar big ***

Or was the dragon Daemond was singing to just as big

I agree on the assessment of the Strong bastards.

To me they're just plot devices there to be killed. Too frail and insecure to matter much unless the older bastard gets recast next season.

As far as Aemond, when it was the kid version I was like damn he seems like the one that should be backed as heir and king not Aegon. After w/e time skip and we get the older version I dunno seems like his growth was stunted. Seems to have the tools to lead but its wasting it cuz he has no mentor and just seems petty. He just seems like he's out here to prove something with every action.

Kinda crazy to me Otto has not taken him under his wing.

He just spent the last ep brooding and complaining about how he should be king not his brother yet still following orders and finding his bro and putting him on the throne. When he should be getting his Littlefinger on and plotting to usurp the throne and using this civil war to do it.

Instead he's still salty over a 10 year old pig joke when he ended up with the biggest dragon. Son still trying to get even over his lost eye like his family didn't just take the throne.

Like in the books he should've killed the Strong bastard on purpose but his face at the end of this ep when his dragon chomped up kid and the smaller dragon by accident lets me know son still a kid himself.

Right now after Rhae, there ain't a character fit to rule/be heir.
I think the reason why he had the look on his face is, they (the Greenes) aren't fully prepared for the war and he just kicked it off before they can get all their ducks in order. He was willing to take hombres eye, but not kill him. Daemon really the only one willing to lead to me. Rhae doesn't appear to be too versed in the military and tactical situation at hand and his still somewhat nostalgic about her relationship with the Queen. She showed glimpses of her father to me. When Daemon was making preparations, she wanted no action despite hearing such news that her claimant was challenged.

She was trying to act as if her father would because she was going off of his teachings. That’s why Daemon said she sounds just like his brother.

Y’all know what’s about to happen when a Targaryen makes this face

She's gonna burn everything down and I'll be right there rooting her on

That was an All-Time bad day/week for her even by Westerosi/GOT standards.

Lost her dad, had her ex-Bff steal her birthright, lost a baby, choked by her husband, lost an important ally and had her son and his dragon become a pizza pocket for Vaegar all in quick succession :sick:

Won't blame her one bit for going all Mad King on everyone moving forward, she's got legit reasons unlike Dany

Isn't the book almost hearsay though from an unreliable narrator? ie the show is supposedly what really happened vs someone's account.

That was my understanding as well... It was Mushroom the dwarf's account of things... might have been telling the truth... more making ish up! Who knows!

I'm not a book reader, but one of the podcasts I listen to (Bald Moves for those that are interested - pretty good IMO), claim that the Book is 'written' by one (or more than one, is my understanding) of the Maesters, but he gathered information from various sources and put them to paper (the sources would often conflict with each other, probably depending on who's side your on and where you were at the time).

Well that sure was an escalation from an eye. Great episode to set up the rest of the series. Sapochnik (sp?) not being around as a showrunner has me upset, seeing how good this season was.

Hope he comes back to direct at least
