Game of Thrones prequel series: House of the Dragon

It’s more of a thing where he wanted to taunt/bully him but not kill him. It’s all fun and games until someone is hurt.

Like the directors/writers stated he definitely didn’t want to be the reason of starting a war.
Oh yeah. I totally got what they were going for and they nailed it.

I'm just saying for those that see Aemond as the type fit to take over then all of this should've been his plan. Now obviously he couldn't have planned every detail and encounter but given that opportunity he would've killed Luke on purpose and pretended it was an accident like a Littlefinger or Ramsey Bolton would've. They would've wanted to start that war.

Entertaining show but obviously far inferior to the original.

Again they made the mistake of going way way way too fast.

You can feel the lack of source material yet again.

Still incredibly entertaining at times tho.

I have not read the source material, but I feel this show is WAY to slow at times....

The writing is A1 though imo, but I feel that nothing "happens"

I need more battles and bodies

well its not necessarily about the pace of the plot events. it had way more battles and bodies that the early seasons of the original

its more that we don't have enough time with each of the characters to care enough about the things happening to them
the characters and their motivations just aren't as fleshed out emotionally compelling as the original

so as a result unless it's a big plot development you don't feel connected to what is happening, thus making it feel "slow"

Anybody that wears a hint of green, done broke oaths to the queen, mention any word that rhymes with the word Strong, wears eye patches.

When the two PRINCE offered to ride to Carry the messages over the RAVENS I knew a life or both would be lost.
You can’t finish a Season without heads on spikes, important heads.
I’ll never forget Lord Stark dying at the end of GOT S1 finale, In front of his Girls.
That was such great TV.

Rhanerya: “And our enemies?”

Daemon: “We have no friends among the Lannisters. Tyland has served the Hand [Otto] too long to turn against him. And Otto Hightower needs the Lannister fleet.”

Rhanerya: “Without the Lannisters, we are not like to find any allies west of the Golden Tooth.”

Daemon: “No. The Riverlands are essential, Your Grace.”

Rhanerya: “The Greens have dragons as well.”

Daemon: “They have three adults, by my count. We have Syrax, Caraxes, and Meleys. Your sons have Vermax, Arrax, and Tyraxes. Baela has Moondancer.”

Rhanerya: “Daemon, none of our dragons have been to war.”

Daemon: “There are also unclaimed dragons. Seasmoke still resides on Driftmark. Vermithor and Silverwing dwell on Dragonmont, still riderless. Then there are the three wild dragons, all of whom nest here.”

Rhanerya: “And who is to ride them?”

Daemon: “Dragonstone has 13 to their 4. I also have a score of eggs incubating in the Dragonmont. Now… we need a place to gather, a toehold large enough to house a sizable host. Here, at Harrenhal. We cut off the west, surround King’s Landing with the dragons, and we can have every Green head mounted on spikes before the ******* moon turns.”

Actually she becomes immortal and never dies.
I just caught this little smart*** quip. Obviously I know she dies because she's not in GoT and she's not like a witch or anything subhuman. Didn't know she dies in the series. Not like you care, but yeah.

Man good thing I haven’t been in the thread for a few days. I didn’t purposely stay out to avoid spoilers Either.
I didn’t know Zik was insensitive to Spoilers, but I stopped reading his long posts(which are most of them)a while while while back so there’s that.
“Is it inconsiderate if I don’t consider others”
That’s some new deep metaphysical data seeping into my psyche.

God Damn, Vaghar Big AF.
He was not near that big or ugly when Aemond first claimed him. Daemon putting the hands on the Queen had me hot. BA move, it I guess he’s always been a ***** yes?

Lucerys should’ve went elsewhere at Storm’s End, wined and dined and then straight to bed

Idk how it is in the books but I like that it was basically an accident.

Aemond talks the big talk and maybe walk the big walk but even then you could see it in his face with regret and foolishness
I think in the book Aemond Is alot more intentional in that moment. Either way his actions still deliver the domino effect that will be put in place

Dragons getting of their leash pushing things forward kinda weird...if they don't do it again it will look even funnier.
Agreed.
After seeing all those disobedient dragons that have riders, I can’t imagine what the riderless dragons get up to.

:lol I actually never specified that she dies in the series. Just that GoT already revealed how she dies.

But no, really she becomes immortal and lives forever. Thats a spoiler.
