FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

We can start it again for you.

Theyre trash

Methinks there’s a #cultural element to this. When I was growing up we routinely had Baked Potatoes for dinner, sometime as the main course (because I’m old and came up in the age before carbs were evil). Comfort food for me.

So Potato Skins Appetizers also trash?

Plain jane baked potatoes are admittedly pretty "meh," but I won't sit back and have twice baked/fully loaded potatoes dragged into this. Just not fair.

Lunch:

French Bread
Jack Popping Shrimp (Jalapeño, Pepper Jack Cheese, Shrimp)
Jack Popping Oysters (Oysters on the half shell, charbroiled with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese.)
Louisiana catfish filet fried & topped with crawfish étouffée, served over rice.
White Chocolate Bread Pudding

Anyone have a chicken bake from Costco lately?
Had one a few days ago and it was awful
I wasn’t a huge fan of it before and felt it was only ok
But now since the food court slimmed down the number of items for COVID the chicken bake isn’t the same
Guess I’ll just be sticking with hot dogs and pizza for now

Seems like they skimp on the ingredients inside of it now which is surprising considering its Costco. Hot dogs and Pizza still hit tho

made a sauce with the dried chilis, tomatoes, chipotles, beef broth
sautéed jalaepnos and poblano with onion and garlic
browned ground beef (normally use better meat cubed but had ground to use up)
combined the three, seasoned with all spice, cumin, oregano, pepper, and let simmer

The fact that yall are even TRYING to think about it is funny.

NO food is worth WAITING in line 12 hours for. Unless I can go live my "regular life" WHILE "waiting."

No.
No.
No.

Just STUPID

Why did you use the name Leroy? KHUFU KHUFU layziegunts layziegunts

We’re having a discussion this afternoon. We’re eating this which I would call “mince” (not the potatoes or cabbage - the other part).
My wife grew up in Ohio and isn’t sure what she would call it - but remembers eating something similar.
So what would you call it? Basically minced beef with gravy and carrots.

Looks like some ppl call it Ground Beef n Gravy, Beef Mince, and some say Mince and Tatties. I like the last one, it sounds dirty
