Along with the shape, they changed the boxes to the light grey color and the metal emblem that the laces go through near the toe box. They made them rectangular and a silver color where they used to be oval and almost bronze like. If I’m not mistaken the liner changed came about during the 25th anniversary as well. It went from that cotton like material to the woven almost mesh like pattern. The Supreme AF1’s that just dropped have the throwback cotton liner.

Round my way 2000-2006 AF1 was top tier shoe. It was Mikes, then Ones, then Air Maxes

round 07 the hype kinda died. You could still rock some all white lows. Hightops still got love depending on the color and fit u had. But mids were extinct. nobody wore them no more and still dont.

lows have been money since then. I wanna say dunks and Max’s kinda cut into the desire to wear Ones back then. Now with all the jogger suits/athleisure fits Im seeing a Resurgence in lows outside just all white.

I will say I hate how all black lowtops have become a joke and ppl clown them to mean u dirty or a thief. Always loved all black lows

I've been seeing more teenagers rocking Air Forces now. So I'd say it's coming back. Back in HS most of us were too poor for Js so Air Forces were the shoes to rock.
