Reaching to address the FACT that the very definition of a SBG is an elder alpha male gorilla with a streak of silver hair down its back? And that within a troop two SBGs cannot coexist?
Okay then. You just keep proving my point man. You don't even know what a SBG is. Two SBGs would not be in a troop. There may be other males, but those males are NOT sbgs. They are usually younger males who will be forced to leave the troop to find mates.
Your line of questioning is complete rubbish because it is devoid of any understanding of what a SBG inherently is.
There's an old Dr. Seuss story about that. (the Sneetches)
If all of the SBGs appeared in a place consisting of entirely SBGs and another species, they would easily see everyone is like them.
This is where it get's into the realm of "we don't know".
It's not just 1 or 2 SBGs, but ALL SBGs in their group, at the same time there is an enemy on the front.
I have a feeling, that if piranhas have enough sense to not attack their own in battle then gorillas wouldn't either.
