Wrestling Thread June 15-21 | 6/21 TNA Slammiversary - KotM Foley/Jarrett/Joe/Style/Angle

Hangover was !%#+@*% hilarious. Top 2 comedy of all time.

Punk's match was great, as was Jericho's. Everything else got fastforwarded through.

Donald Trump buys wrestling show
USA Today Lifeline Live

Just in: It seems beauty pageants - and all the drama that goes with them - aren't enough for Donald Trump. He has just bought World Wrestling Entertainment's Monday Night RAW show. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"The Monday Night RAW franchise has been one of the top cable franchises since its launch 17 years ago," said Donald Trump. "I'm going to do things on the show that have never been done or seen before. As my first act as owner, I am doing something unprecedented. I am giving back to the people who have been loyal all these years. For the first time in more than 838 episodes of RAW, next week's show will be live and commercial free." And Trump will make an appearance. It airs Monday on the USA Network at 9:00 p.m. ET.

* Mark Henry vs. Evan Bourne
* Tommy Dreamer vs. Jack Swagger - Non-Title Match
* Christian vs. DH Smith

-- Raw did a 3.5 last night off hours of 3.3, 3.8 and 4.1

-- Smackdown did a 1.8.

The days of quality wrestling on Smackdown may be coming to an end if the ratings continue to plummet.

The bash is the worst name for a ppv ever. I wasnt too big on the great American bash, but at least it was ok. This name is terrible. Bring back bash at thebeach.

if they moved Smackdown back to thursday... heck they SHOULD move it to Wednesday, it would pull RAW numbers easy...

So true

uh oh ... finlay's a heel again

if there's one person finlay doesn't need to feud with, it's christian

Wow its a shame to see what wrestling has beocme on WWE. THey really need to fix things. I was really hoping thta MVP would have won the battle Royale so thatthen we would have:
Cen vs Show vs Miz (Bash)
Kofi vs Regal vs Mat ( Bash)- Title Match

So wait when Batista returns will he be champion and pull a Shawn Michaels or will he get a title shot at who ever is the champion?

Is the Donald Trump thing real or is it just part of the show?

Will Matt be heading to Smackdown or interferring with CM Punk's match after what happened to him on raw?

Will the Miz and Goldust skit end up making Goldust relevant in 2009?

Doubt It

Will the Miz and Goldust skit end up making Goldust relevant in 2009?
I hope so

Scramble match at the Bash:
In order to keep his most prized possession as ECW Champion, Tommy Dreamer will not only have to defeat Christian again, but Jack Swagger, Mark Henry and Finlay as well. The five Superstars are poised to square off in an ECW Championship Scramble Match at The Bash to determine who is worthy of touting the title.

SMACKDOWN SPOILERS:
Spoiler [+]
Smackdown opened with strong promos from Jeff Hardy and C.M. Punk.

1. Jeff Hardy defeated Chris Jericho via countout. Mysterio interfered, causing Jericho to leave. Jericho was counted out. Hardy Wins.

Great Khali defeated Dolph Ziggler. A similar match to the one they had a couple weeks ago. Ziggler attacked Khali with a chair to cause a DQ.

3. Melina defeated Alicia Fox. Melina won clean. Michelle McCool attacked Melina as she was going for the title.

4. Edge beat John Morrison. It looks like edge is moving into a feud with Morrison. This should elevate Morrison to the next level. Expect this match at the Bash, although it wasn't announced. Awesome match! Smackdown rocks. Edge won clean with the spear.

5. Cryme Tyme and R-Truth defeated Charlie Haas, Shelton Benjamin, and Ricky Ortiz. An okay match. R-Truth pinned benjamin for the win.

Promos by Rey Mysterio and Jericho. As expected, it'll be belt vs mask at The Bash.

6. C.M. Punk pinned Rey Mysterio. Great match. Chris Jericho interfered, and then Punk hit the GTS on Mysterio for the win.

Smackdown ends!

Dark Match: Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio defeated Edge and Chris Jericho in a cage match.

So at the Bash, we have so far:
Spoiler [+]
-C.M. Punk vs. Jeff Hardy for the World Hvt. Championship.

-Randy Orton vs. Triple H for the WWE Title.

-Primo and Carlito vs. Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes for the Unified Tag Titles.

-Chris Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio in an Intercontinental Title vs. mask match.

-Tommy Dreamer vs Jack Swagger vs Finlay vs Mark Henry vs Christian in a scramble match for the ECW Title

-Edge vs John Morrison possibly?

Question, is the scramble match for the ECW belt going to be like the championship scrambles from Unforgiven?

WWE Interested In Bringing In Several Ex-WCW Wrestlers

John "Ace" Laurinaitis, WWE's Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, recently went to the creative team with a list of former WCW wrestlers to see if there was any possible interest, reports www.f4wonline.com. Laurinaitis is quite familiar with talent from the dying days of World Championship Wrestling as he joined the promotion in the summer of 2000 as a booker, carrying the role until the company was sold to the World Wrestling Federation in March 2001. Among those still actively wrestling (and not already under contract to WWE or under contract to TNA) from the 2001 roster include Buff Bagwell, Mark Jindrak, Shawn Stasiak, Chuck Palumbo, Shannon Moore, Kaz Hayashi and Sid Vicious
