And I think everyone is missing the point when it comes to the storyline, Punk said himself last night that he does this cause he loves it and the fans.

Cena says all that too and look where it gets him. I said it weeks ago that this has a Joker/The Dark Knight feel to the story. Cena and Punk both have the same feelings, but show it in a different way. Cena says he is here for the "WWE Universe" and yet unless your a women or small child, most of the time Cena is hated on by most of the male fan base. Punk seems to go to the beat of his own drum and has the entire fan base behind him.

I think Punk is trying to convince Cena that his hard work is going to waste because he is not respected by the fans even though he fights for them. He too was seen as a joke (even during the thuganomics beginning). Everything Punk said was true, he kissed A** and became a protected superstar (Even HHH and HBK knocked those who hated John Cena and they knew what he meant to the company) and I think Cena is aware of that and does not care for the storyline purpose and just has not admitted it yet. I think also a lot of people are overshadowing the Rock aspect of this. Punk now on the Cena train discussing the whereabouts of Dwayne?????? Has any other wrestler besides Cena ran with that garbage about the Rock not being around. I don't think so until punk go involved.

Punk also does that Joker tongue thingy a lot, I'm sure you have all noticed it too.

So the Dark Knight comparison I can buy.

Yeah, I'm interested to see how this plays out.  Storylines are still relatively PG, but there has been a lot more cursing on recent WWE TV.  Plus like I said, Kelly Kelly's outfit was pretty skimpy tonight.   I said it last night, but Punk seems like this generation's Stone Cold Steve Austin.  We'll see if WWE is trying to create another Attitude Era.
But I've also said this 1000 times.  PG13 does not equal entertaining television.  Good storylines create entertaining television, regardless of the language and subjects being used.

Exactly. Just look at Impact post-2006 and before the recent X-division stuff --- Velvet Sky yelling *@&#^ 10 times during a promo and Flair bleeding buckets of blood after one
punch to the face. That's not entertaining at all. But man, when the WWE and Impact are bad, they are AWFUL, but the good is always really good.

Just DL'ed and watched RAW...great promos by CM...has me seriously thinking about purchasing the ppv...i just fear the ending will be lackluster/anticlimactic...Cena was very good in the beginning of RAW then reverted to his usual lame self in the end...game time decision for me

Immortal came out in tuxedos for a celebration because Mr. Anderson has joined the group. There was a poker table in the ring. Anderson came out in a camouflage tuxedo. Hogan and Bischoff spent minutes putting over Anderson and vice versa until the lights went out. When the lights came back on in the Impact Wrestling Zone, Sting appeared in the ring sitting in a chair at the poker table. Sting asked Eric Bischoff who he would bet on in the world title match tonight. Sting did more of his Joker gimmick before saying that he had friends with him tonight who would keep Immortal from getting involved. The lights panned to the rafters where four men in clown suits were standing. Sting then flipped the table before the lights went out and Sting vanished.

In a Bound For Glory series match, Bobby Roode defeated Samoa Joe and ‘The Pope’ D’Angelo Dinero in a Triple Threat Match with Roode pinning Samoa Joe. Joe had Roode locked in the Kokina Clutch, but Roode flipped over him using the turnbuckles like Bret Hart would do in matches and covered Joe while Roode tapped. Referee Earl Hebner did not see Roode tapping out, which caused Joe to flip out. Three other referees came out to keep Joe away from Earl Hebner. He flipped off the referees as they walked up the ramp.

Austin Aries defeated Shannon Moore. Aries used the chain from the book of DILLIGAF while the referee was distracted and then followed up with a slingshot corkscrew splash from the apron to pin Moore. After the match, Alex Shelley came out and stared down Aries before helping Moore to his feet.

Tara defeated Madison Rayne. Tara brought back her pet tarantula and frightened Madison with it before hitting her with the Widow's Peak for the win. While holding the tarantula, she chased after Madison to the back.

Kurt Angle came out to cut a promo to remind the fans that he won the Number One Contender Match against Jeff Jarrett at Slammiversary. Angle said that he will face the winner of tonight's match between Sting and Mr. Anderson at Hardcore Justice on August 7th. Angle says that he wants to fight Anderson whether it is for the title or not. Angle mentioned their cage match at Lockdown 2010. Angle also mentions how he and Sting have unfinished business dating back to the days of the Main Event Mafia. Angle also mentioned their Empty Arena match on Impact in January of 2009 which he called one of the best matches in Impact history, which neither man won. Angle says that because he has never beaten Sting, he wants the opportunity to do so.

Mexican America defeated The British Invasion. Rosita ran out and distracted the referee, causing Hernandez to drop an elbow on Magnus while he had Anarquia for the pin. He then rolled Anarquia onto Magnus for the three count.

Sting defeated Mr. Anderson to become a Five Time TNA World Champion. This was Anderson’s first title defense since winning the title at Slammiversary. Both men used each other's finishers at points during the match. Later in the match, referee Brian Hebner was knocked out. Bully Ray came out, while still wearing his tuxedo, and attacked Sting. The lights went out and one of the clowns from earlier was in the ring attacking Anderson and Ray with a baseball bat when the lights came back on. The lights went out again and when the lights came back on, the clown and Ray disappeared. Sting picked up Anderson and hit the Scorpion Death Drop to win the match. As Sting celebrated with the title, the clown was on the stage and unmasked himself to be Kurt Angle.

In a match taped for Xplosion, Alex Shelley defeated ‘The Pope’ D’Angelo Dinero in the Xplosion Championship Challenge. At one point during the match, The Pope tried to talk with Devon's kids before Devon came out to stop him. After Shelley pinned Pope, Shelley shook his hand.
