To assume that every trapping woman is smart enough to try to trap for money is funny. If you're bored one day, cruise down to your local Health & Human Services (aka Welfare) office and see the long line of husbandless birds picking up their bird seed. Not throwing all government assistance families in that category, but c'mon son, you don't see these chicks walking two and three curly headed seeds down your local block daily?
You think they were all from some dude who honestly wanted a family with those chicks or better yet... DOCTORS?
Stop it.
just how common is this, though?

I'm not a kid. I don't appreciate being called one either. I'm a college graduate that's employed and not in retail.Originally Posted by Diego

Im not tryin to make it seem like nothin.
Im just letting you all know that aint nobody trying to trap yall retail workin kids just cause you got "good hair".
There is a big difference between being trapped and not practicing safe sex. All them birds you see at the welfare line...How many of them you think walk around with a test tube waiting for a dude to unload some sperm on them so they could impregnate themselves? Gimme a realistic number on how often this happens....Ill wait.
Im from the hood too homie. I know how it is. Dudes go hard with the pull out method or just go raw cause they cant fathom the thought of passing up on sex then they want to claim "Trap" when shorty comes out pregnant. Thats what the majority of the cases on the welfare line look like. But trappin you and being deceitful?????? You dudes are all feelin yourself a little too much. May I suggest stepping your game up and +#%+#!@ with halfway decent birds?

The choice IMO falls on the woman. Should a man be protected if he's sleeping with a girl? Ideally. But if they don't have condoms and still do it, they're responsible for the outcome but if she didnt want it raw, she coulda stopped him from penetrating.
THats just me though. That may be too double standardy for some of you.
Both should be responsible and both are at fault for a dumb move for not using protection.
I will say though, men know how to seduce women to agree to sex and play on their vulnerability to score. They play on their emotions and their self-esteem. They make her feel not sexually appealing or a prude if she hesitates or says no. They make her feel sexually attractive or appealing by the way he sexually pursues her. Men also play a part in stimulating the woman to get her going and so horny to the point she wants it in the end. If a girl has the intention to not have sex if she is hanging out with a guy, when things get hot and heavy, and she hesitates at first. But, if he works and plays his cards right, he can get her to the point she agrees.
Sometimes, even responsible adults become dumb when it comes to sex. It is all mind over matter. However, when they get in that zone of being very sexually aroused, for those few moments of pleasure, they just want to do it and overlook their sexual health for it.
I don't know if I am making sense here.
Edit: Damn with all this editing.

I almost thought this was youtube from reading your response. I have no idea how you would equate "uphold[ing] double standards" to "the Pope advocating condoms don't help the same fight against AIDS", cause that's nothing at all what I was talking about, and obviously you are the one being close-minded by pretty much misreading (or not reading at all) what I say. Yes, it's bad that double standards exist, but they're out there plain as day. I'm all for safe-sex and equal roles in life and everything, so your thing about "men should just deal with it" is pretty laughable, and sounds like a recent personal matter you've been through to me. To go even further of what I was saying as traditional or the norm (which you seemed to take as repression or something), it could be something as simple as a guy being the one to normally hold the door open for a woman, the guy normally opening the car door for her, or the guy normally paying for a woman's meal on a date. I wouldn't get mad or feel weird at all if a woman did that for me, but I also wouldn't think a woman would flip out if I did that for her. i could go on, but I'll just leave it right there and see where that's taken.Originally Posted by Hazeleyed Honey

I do agree, but the double standard DOES exist and is the norm. The guy traditional has the condoms, and the girl is traditional the one who asks if the guy has any.
Remember the "No Glove, No Love" thing? Well, it was for a reason.
Traditionally? It is 2011! We are not living in the 50s where women's sexual prowess are repressed. Women now have more sexual freedom and have since come a long way and can control their reproductive rights allowing them to be more sexually forward. Men should just deal with it! Men upholding outdated double standards when it comes to sex is partly due to them wanting to be the ones in control of sex and being threatened by women's increasing sexual power. They do not want those roles becoming equal or reversed. Why are men still dominant in a lot of ways, it is because of sex, how they use it and advance it...But, that is a whole other topic.
It blows my mind with the ignorant people in here. In this day and age with pregnancy and the increase of STDs and deadly ones too, you can't gamble with your life. You men should ENCOURAGE women to carry condoms instead of frowning about it because of your close-minded ideals which will only increase help spread sexual diseases and unwanted pregnancies.

You misunderstood me. I said that not YOU, others in here who proclaim that men should only carry condoms due to their belief in double standards is a dangerous mentality and only spreads sexual diseases and unwanted pregnancies. They are basically saying girls should not carry condoms. Are you kidding me? That is the same dangerous effect it will create such as the Pope claiming to not use condoms. To me, both those claims deter from helping fight sexual diseases and unwanted pregnancies. We should be advocating for safe sex practices and the use of contraception, by men and women.Originally Posted by Peep Game
