i mean there might be a few apps on iPhone that no1 really messes with...but some carriers send you home with a few games, and samsung will have permanent competing apps to stock android.

My s7 just did something weird. I was watching house of cards and all of a sudden it made a long continuous beep and rebooted.

beside contacts, all of those are bloat. in the same way google+, drive, play books, play movies, play games, play music and play newsstand are bloat.
let people choose to download that crap instead of forcing it on the device or at least let them properly uninstall it.

I wish Samsung grew some balls and say screw the carriers and gave unlocked versions of their phones. Or they could at least create some google play edition handsets that would be great.

Agreed. I usually rock with the nexus line. I had a Note Edge but finally had to trade that thing in yesterday. Touch Wiz is so trash. A Note 5 on Pure android may have kept me around.

Contacts app and Find my iPhone are not bloat IMO, but insurer with you on the other stuff. Newsstand, stocks and Game Center are all bloat to me

Picked up the Nexus 6P. The note edge had a broken screen on the edge part and random reboots. Traded it in for good money considering those issues and got a great price on the Nexus.

John Legere said t-mo was working with Sammy to get the bootloaders unlocked for their S7s. Who knows if there's any real truth to it though.

Said yolo and bought the S7 Edge on Swappa after striking out on the regular S7 on eBay a couple of times. $635 shipped.....not bad?

I don't find any of those apps useful and why does there need to be a contacts app when contacts are integrated into phone already?
Any android bloat can disabled those can't.

The bloat complaint always amazes me when you can disable it.
I have a Verizon Note 5 with every single piece of bloat disabled.
I wish I could totally delete it but it's not the end of world and they take up 271 MB of storage.

:roll eyes some people don't want deal with that nonsense, is that unreasonable? you can uninstall bloat on a laptop, you should be able to do it on a phone. also it just adds insult to injury when ur disabling an app that does the same thing that comes with the software stock...
also there are a few things you can't disable. i can't recall tho...
anyways the bloat is second or third to the main problems: overpriced and slow updates. and rooting and throwing on a stock rom just doesn't cut it, as the rom will have 1 or two things that won't work. the stock cam on the CM rom for note 4 was trash, but google camera kept crashing, plus u lost wife calling, turbo charging info, and battery optimization.

F the BS - Im about to cop an unlock Moto X Pure tomorrow - 299 and Im straight with no bloatware - Rapid Charging and decent ST.
