:{ @ T-Mobile

This is not good.

It is very unfortunate, but it wasn't T-Mobile that got hacked, it was Experian which is the company used for running credit checks on new accounts. T-Mobile themselves has not been hacked at all.

That said you would think that a credit agency would have the highest security available.

im not familiar with software security, but i'd imagine not enough is invested in advanced software security by these big companies. i don't blame tmobile more than i blame a bank for a hack. at the end of the day, you got hackers out there who are doing nothing but hacking day in day out, looking to **** with big money, and business and just overall make a big splash. and there are some goku level hackers out there..dudes who could hack your car with a nintendo DS or some ****. so i don't see hacking being totally preventable.

i remember signing up with a new bank earlier this year and they said when your account gets hacked, you are covered for fraud and will get money back, and dude specifically said "i say when because it is inevitable"...

with things getting more digital, cyber crime is just gonna get more common.

honestly, software engineering is probably the best engineering field to get into $$ wise.

Petroleum engineering as well. I know cats who started at six figures right out of school

My dads a software engineer... i wouldnt reccommend it unless you LOVE the field. Hes beasically been learning for the past 30 years, alot like being a doctor.... you need to find a speciality and stick to it because the ongoing change means CONSTANT learning and updates to procedures. Not for the lazy

Headlines have T-mobile's name plastered first, which will have the general public believe that it was them instead of Experian.

they probably lower your credit score cause of them getting hacked :{

Which is sad

Looks decent to me. What kind of battery life are you expecting? My G4 gets similar battery life and I'm satisfied. Then again I swap out batteries on heavy usage days.

I'll be completely satisfied with a consistent 5-6 hours SOT. Already at 5 with 30% left

That sounds GREAT. From your initial post I thought you were complaining about the battery life haha. I wish I could get 5 hours SoT but having a spare battery pretty much makes it a non-issue.

On my S5, I usually get about 3 hours of SOT. What should I be getting? I'm not a heavy user and I'm running just regular 5.0 touchwiz. Is there stuff I could do to improve the SOT?

Since the screen typically eats the most battery on any smartphone, lowering the brightness could help a lot. Also, since your screen is an AMOLED display using a black wallpaper could help. Sticking to the screen, make your screen timeout setting shorter.

Turn off mobile data, wifi, bluetooth, sync, location services when you don't need them.

Disable/uninstall the pre-loaded apps you don't use. I'm sure Samsung gave you a bunch and there's probably some carrier bloat on there as well.

Disable Samsung's "smart" features if you don't use them. Air gestures, smart scrolling, etc.

Turn off haptic feedback for when you type or touch the screen

The Facebook app is known to be a resource hog so if you don't use it much you could uninstall. I just have it bookmarked so I can open it in the browser from my homescreen.

Spotify and Instagram are battery drainers too, but if you use them often I don't see what an alternative would be.

I believe people say Chrome is a resource hog as well, but I can't suggest any alternatives since that's what I use. I'm sure there are more battery friendly browsers that are just as capable though.

Little over 6 hours with 10% left. EASILY could've got 6 1/2 SOT before it died but I have to charge it now. To say I'm satisfied is a huge understatment. This gets me excited for Marshmallow even more

might cop the gear s2 for $230 tmm. Have the s6 edge but rocking the og pebble

How are you getting it for $230? 8o

I'm stuck between the S2, Huawei and the new Moto. Android wear is pretty cool but I like to be able to make phone calls using my watch especially when driving :lol I'm also feeling the more premium look with Huawei and Moto. #firstworldproblems

New lg watch has lte. Uses a Sim card. But idk if it's available yet

As far as smartwatches are concerned I'm leaning toward either a Pebble Round or Moto 360 2015. It's either battery life or quality

Nice. If you decide to get it, let us know how it is! I'm not 100% sold on it but watching different reviews is changing my mind

Wow, very impressive. Mind if I ask what apps you use? I've seen other G4 users with 5+ hrs of SoT but they all just browse the web, send emails and watch YouTube videos. I figure since I do all that plus other social media I'll never break the 5hr mark. I think the best I've gotten was 4 and change.
