I dont see how this hurts AT&T besides sales. Customers already on AT&T have no reason to jump ships especially seeing how plans are probably going to run $100 +. The main winner in all of this is Apple. Its one small step towards taking over the mobile phone industry and another GIANT leap towards taking over the world.

When verizon gets it, it will loose its "Exclusive" luster.

Only reason people want that phone over android now is because it was only on at&t.......Now that other carriers are going to get it, they will want whatever everybody and every carrier doesnt have.

There is nothing that normal people need to have that android doesnt have and vice versa........android is on big carriers and small carries.

Im not saying android is better or iphone is better (ive had both and i personally prefer android).......but when android takes over the blackberry as the leader in users, the iphone will never catch up no matter what they do

You are wrong!No one wants the iPhone cause it's on AT&T (If you do there's something wrong lol) They want the PHONE!It's just people were FORCED to go with at&t if they wanted to use the iPhone (Not talking about jailbroken phones)

If anything, they'll make something with a bigger screen because people seem to be getting tired of the 3.5 screen & want more screen real estate.

I think some people (believe it or not) want a simple cell phone.  An iphone nano is a great idea for people that want an ipod and a phone in one without 9 million apps slowing it down.

That's just a complete waste of time/money that Apple will not do.

^basically, if you looking for a simple cell phone, a iPhone of any sort is not what you should be looking for. 

I guess we will just wait and see.  Having more then one phone on the market may not be the worst idea in the future.  Having a simple cheap iphone would serve the same purpose an actual ipod shuffle does vs an itouch.  Simple less expensive.

- The iPhone is exclusive for AT&T, but honestly, everyone has an iPhone, everyday I see at least 5 iPhones a day, exclusivity is not going to be a problem, plus the iPod touch is basically an iPhone, its obvious exclusivity is not the reason why people are buying iPhones
