*USA Basketball* WOMEN EARN GOLD v. ESP (101-72)! MEN EARN GOLD v. SRB (96-66)!

2 ends of the extreme of the basketball talk spectrum today.

Skip Bayless-Esque hot takes & the "Numbers say" hot takes.

It's been a productive day.

bro did u even watch?

Andre Igudala and Draymond green were th best players both years.....

its about impact on the game. Dood had minimal impact on the series....

he got bullied, plain and simple.

:lol

Dude, many of Iggy's shots in 2015 were with no one in the same area code. Why? Because of Curry's gravity. Cleveland played way up on him which allowed Dray the space to either make a play for himself or dish to Iggy, Klay, Barnes, etc. He had a massive impact on the series even when he wasn't scoring.

Kyle Lowry
Chris Bosh
Paul Millsap
Jimmy Butler
Andre Drummond
Isaiah Thomas
Al Horford
Stephen Curry
Anthony Davis
Draymond Green
Klay Thomspn

MVP's Im not sure Dirk, Nash and Rose would have been

I want to say nash would have been just as gritty back then, but damn being white back then was like having a target on your back

Steph & AD are generational talents. So stop there. Chris Bosh is a Hall of Famer. Klay already is better than Reggie Miller ever was. Dray is a better version of Anthony Mason...who was an all star.

The rest of them ***** are fringe all stars from the East. They don't count :lol.

You can go to any NBA year and pull up borderline all stars that were "stars" because of circumstance. Any year. It's ugly in the early 00s.

Alot of 7 footers back then, real 7 footers.....Dj would be food....my mans has minimal post game....

dwight might have more moves on the post :lol

At least with awwsome awwsome 's extreme hot takes...you can cede points here and there...and some can be argued. Albeit still wrong.

SORIANOTRON SORIANOTRON brand of hot takes are grounded in absolutely nothing but false narratives and "back in my day" nonsense.

I forget that 20 years ago is still the 90s lmao

I'm sitting here thinking we talking the 60s and ****

Steph wouldn't be an all star in 1996??? Wut in the entire ****

Dj wouldn't be no he wouldn't

Im still not ok with DJ being first team all NBA....as well as:

Jimmy Butler
Kyler Lowry
DJ
Harrison Barnes
Demar Derozen

Being on the Olympic team. The rest of the world need to catch up and make things intersting. I wanna see the big guns out again.

DJ is definitely great in todays game, elite even.

Not in the 90's but it's 2016 so who gives a ****?

As someone who has seen probably 85 percent of the games DJ's has ever played in the NBA, and who acknowledges that he's light years better than I ever thought he would be, I feel he's become a bit overrated. There are certain things he does very well, like finish at the rim, rebound, hedge on pick-and-rolls and get blocks coming from the weak side. But he's pretty average as an on-ball defender and we all know about his offensive limitations. The good does not always outweigh the bad.

Great as DJ's numbers are, I still feel like he could be replaced by another serviceable center and there wouldn't be much drop off for the Clippers, provided all the other players stayed the same.

Don't get me wrong - I'm glad we have him. But I wasn't going to be heartbroken if he wound up somewhere else last Summer.

Since I've become a clips fan....I've felt the same way. It's been discussed in the thread. He's improved a lil as on on all defender (before ShoeKing comes in here :lol)

But yeah...when you watch him closely....You come away with the same feeling.
