I'm ready for this. Hopefully an HD upload doesn't take long at all.

When I think about it, this doesn't seem to be nearly as much of an underground, relatively unnoticed album promotion-wise as I was thinking it would be. I mean, son is premiering his video on MTV. That's pretty big.

I hope the quality isn't sacrificed in light of this.

Once they go mainstream, they never come back.

From Kissland and John Carpenter, so far I am not worried about the whole mainstream thing. Those two songs are about as non mainstream as you can get and will be on the retail album.

Not to mention his verses on Gifted and One of Those Nights. We still got vintage Weeknd for the most part on those two features with mainstream rappers.

But it is something to think about for sure.

Found a Weeknd ticket online for $65. Not sure if i'm gonna be in the city at that time, but I may have to pull the trigger regardless.

The first single was 7 minutes with a beat change in the middle and an overall dark vibe. He's also really honing in on the Japanese theme (random) and the video that will be released for Kiss Land has more sex and nudity than most softcore porn  If he's trying to go mainstream, he's doing it wrong

The new song Belong To The World could actually get radio play though. Not sure though, it's so different from whats on Hip Hop/RnB radio

Great video...great song...i think i might officially be a stan...i honestly don't think he has made a bad song. The only song out of his whole catelog that i kinda don't really feel is Heaven or Las Vegas and that is because you can barely make out what he is saying and it sounds just poorly produced at times....but honestly i still listen to the song so i wouldn't call it even bad.

But everything he says resonates with me....Belong To The World will be on repeat all day

You had trouble understanding what he was saying on Heaven and Las Vegas? Compared to a few other cuts on Thursday, I always thought that it was one of the more immediately decipherable songs
