I think 4 is about the standard these days, you can do most tasks with 4 gigs and be fine.

I use my desktop for gaming and only have 4GB of ram. Only game I've played that was RAM heavy is Planetside 2.

I got a 2007 macbook, it came this way and its too old and too beat up for me to invest money in it. It doesnt even work off the charger

. One day I'm just going to say forget it and buy a $400 Lenovo or something and move on.
