a laptop with an 8 gigs of ram should be considered as criminal in this age. 16GB existed way back in '09 when I got a highend laptop. and yes, extra ram is really nice especially for multi-tasking and workflow.

I can deal with 8GB if necessary. I had been using an Acer Spin 1 as my work and home laptop for the last three years and it only has 4GB ram. The processor is fast, but I usually take up 60-75% of my memory only with Chrome and some music or Word documents. This new PC, though? I do the same thing and my memory reaches 30% max.

Jokes aside in these days when you're taken for a racist or something, if it's not true and not in real life, just give it up, because Internet is full of people thinking they're judges or something, but where are the lawyers then ?
