The PS4 has already won this generation. This is just the Icing on the cake at this point. Between this and Pokémon doing what it’s done for Nintendo in the last week, Xbox is literally just feeding Microsoft’s ego.

Microsoft has been doing everything right for the past 9-12 months. Acquiring studios, managing expectations, readying for the next generation.

They are far from rolling over and I think you will see a much closer race come 2020. Which is what consumers should want.

I mean we want healthy competition. I don’t want sony to become complacent. When one is too far ahead they stop trying. See madden (none) or 2k. Both games are okay but would be so much better if other studios either could compete or would put out a quality product.

Exactly. I would not be surprised at all if Xbox takes the lead next gen. Assuming game pass carries over to next gen, you’ll buy the console and have access to all their exclusive launch titles right out of the gate. That’s huge in my book.

I disagree. A lot of the studios they acquired were rejects from Sony or studios that were independent and failed to deliver. Microsoft has to invest time & money in their internal studios also.Also their plan of offering a digital only disc less steam box type next box will back fire on them, especially if they don't price it right next gen. Yeah there are plenty of people on this thread and NT Xbox thread who prefer all digital now. But majority of the people in the US and all over the world aren't ready for it to be the standard for the gaming industry also.

Sony really as long they continue to deliver the great first party exclusive games and they don't be stupid and overprice the PS5 will continue to lead next console gen. Also as long as Sony manages to includes backwards compatibility in PS5 it will sell like gang busters again.

I agree with what everyone has said just writing this generation as a wash. 2020 is looking good and I always want competition. Monopolies RUIN it for consumers like us. I haven’t bought a Madden in the last 10 years or a 2K in the last 5. If Sony is smart and keeps making their systems easy to program for (I know Xbox does) along with Backwards comparability, I am positive they will win the generation again.

I've only seen that on clearance and low cost/low demand items, wouldn't make sense for something like a high demand ps4. I'm sure that's still in cages.

By a external hard drive. 2TB or 4TB is more than enough. But you holding onto a launch OG 500GB PS4 that’s going to have the least trade in value if you plan on getting a PS5 when it first comes out. Also if you haven’t opened it and cleaned it may die soon.

Thats why trading up to the 1TB Slim PS4 was a good deal for people

I actually got a 500GB PS4 bundles with uncharted 4 for my bday a few years back. I never had an issue with space until I installed red dead 2

I’m not familiar with saving things on an external but I’ll look into it thanks.

You know as well as I do that PS4 has been the hottest selling console this gen. I wouldn’t take what dude said that seriously as other guys said that they think MS is gonna come correct with their next gen console.

Nobody wants to see Xbox fail but it is true that they haven’t been as successful this gen due to their own screwups. There’s no getting round that but MS has made the necessary attempts for the last 2 year’s to rectify their mistakes and make their console worth while

The difference though is last gen as bad as Sony got off to a start with the PS3 due to the $600 price, lack of games, and XBOX 360 launching a full year ahead. Sony still came back strong and pretty much finished even with Microsoft at the end of that console gen.

This console gen Microsoft with the XB1 never learned from the mistakes of E3 2013, released the XB1X way late this console gen and still priced that wrong when it first launched. Thats why both Sony and Nintendo will end up outselling Microsoft this console gen.
