Best Buy having a flash sale right now that ends at 4pm EST.

I called my local Best Buy because I actually need to swap out a controller (wife got me the older red DS4, but I wanted the newer one with the light bar on the front). Called to see if I should buy the controller online and do a pickup in store and swap them or how long the sale is through. They told me in their system, the red and black one are on sale for those prices until Sunday.

I was able to beat every boss in Bloodborne without summoning help and was trying to do the same with Dark Souls 3. Then I ran into Pontiff Sulyvahn and just continued getting smashed and was forced to summon a phantom

Finally went ahead and beat DS3. I am on my 2nd playthrough now.

A couple days in on Destiny and although I like it I am realizing this is just a huge never ending loot game. The story feels pointless. But it's addictive.

It shines when you have people you can play with constantly to do raids and crucible. Most of the normal players have taken a break because of lack of new content but the game itself is good. And many people will tell you that the way the gunplay feels is really second to none right now to any other shooter.

But yes the story is badly told. The grimoire cards are what tell the story but unless you spend time to read them you won't know the story.

Hopefully destiny 2 fixes all the issues that people have been complaining about.

And the lore is great. Just not in game. Been listening to Ghost Stories: A Destiny Podcast and when they talk about it, I'm hooked. Shame you have to go outside of the game to get its story
