Speculation: Shadows Die Twice is for casuals.

Take note of the mechanic starting at 1:34. The character dies to the boss, then resurrects and stealth kills the boss.

Therefore, it looks like the casuals can have two lives per life, hence shadows die twice. Also, they have the ability to stealth kill Bosses they can't beat.

The Hardcore FromSoft fans will have to manually select to not resurrect and respawn at the last bonfire when they die.

Dark Souls = Prepare to Die
Shadows Die Twice = Your death won't come easily

Plus, it's published by Activision.

Apparently it helps to play Birth by Sleep. I have the remakes but only played thru KH1 and 2 so I may run that one before the game drops. Either that or just watch a YT video

hard copies are super rare/hella expensive

shadows die twice looks amazing

that trailer and to a lesser extent dmc5 made me feel like an 11 year old again

Def play all the games man. You gonna be so lost if you play KH3 without knowing everything from the other games

Man i was with you, I couldn’t stand KH. I just decided to give them another try after a convo with my bro in law. I actually enjoyed them. They aren’t FF tier imo but they’re cool cool games to run through. I’d never attempt to platinum them either.
